Hi! If you have more videos like this (re: real science) I have just found what I have been searching for!!! I have a chemistry/science background, and really want to learn about the science behind cosmetics, beauty products, etc, but having trouble finding good information!
I'll look for more videos!
Quick question if you see this. On the Dr. Bronner's label, potassium hydroxide is listed as an ingredient, but it states that none remains after saponifying into soap and glycerin. I assume this must true.. I have to review my chemisty. But, I take 'ingredient' to be what is in the bottle, and just curious if the is none in the 'bottle' why they would even bother to list it. Also I don't see glycerin listed – is that what is in the bottle? If there is no KOH, what is reacting with the Mg & Ca from the water? Thanks!
What I did is blend down an aloe leaf, and make that 1/2 of your bottle. Then put 1/3 cup Dr Bronner soap. Then a few (maybe 5) drops of argon oil, and the rest water. It is watery, I use a pump, and used 4 pumps for a bob. It lathered well, and feels very very soft. I don't use conditioner, but I put more argon oil on the ends afterward.

This explains why I can't use Dr. Bonner soap or any castile soap. They leave my hair & skin feeling nasty. Thanks
I was about to try out special hairsoap. Thanks to you for making this video! Now I will rather keep my hands from it 🙂

Didn't you use conditioner after washing?
It's not a true Castile soap, which is made only of olive oil, the first ingredient on this soap is coconut oil
Me to 5 yes using it and have long beautiful hair
