How to make Castile Soap at home. Eg. Dr. Bronners type liquid soap. Traditionally Castile soap is made with just olive oil and no other oils, but the addition of coconut oil in my opinion makes for a much better soap. #castillesoap #drbronners #soap #soaprecipe #selfreliance #makeitathome
Homemade Natural Liquid Soap Tutorial 🧼 This or the tallow version is the base to most of my liquid soap formulations I make from scratch here
Liquid Soap Ingredients:
Refined Coconut Oil 800 grams
Olive Oil 300 grams
Distilled Water (yes, distilled) 580 grams Glycerine 300 grams
Potassium Hydroxide 90% (please wear gloves and eye protection while using this, be safe friends) 286 grams
Distilled Water to dilute further * I like to test the pH after making. It should be around 9. If it’s high (which it shouldn’t be if cooked long enough) I add small amounts of citric acid to neutralize the KOH in the soap to a pH of 9
