Chanel is definitely gonna be skeletal soon. They’re killing the spirit of it. The scents aren’t unique anymore so most people will just go elsewhere for that. Most people would also just go get a Birkin instead of any overpriced flap bag.

Whenever I think Chanel fragrance, I automatically think of old lady and just dated fragrances. Probably why they’re not as popular as niche (byredo, Parfum de marly, etc) and other designers that have gone viral (D&G devotion, born in Roma, Libre, etc)
Just a couple of weeks ago a product development employee from Chanel was telling me that Chanel never discontinues any fragrance. He loves the brand and must be very disappointed.
I was fearing you would announce that N.19 in the extrait concentration would be on its way out too. It has been out of stock for a while now in the UK which is alarming. Chanel are completely destroying their heritage for profit. Shame on them!

This is just from my POV … extrait or parfums are slowly discontinued due to the fact that extrait / parfum concentration are considered more expensive with less the quantity, if they’re going to do a massive production these jewels might be considered as rocks / pebbles in their way … so they had to get rid of em … no offense but i think in many ways this is what’s going to happen to most fragrance house … chanel has been one of the few brands that kept their parfum concentration sold for quite some times now, im just glad that cristalle didn’t get discontinued 😭😭😭

DON'T WANT TO SOUND ALARMING but on the French and Swiss websites, the n°5 pure perfume in the little cabochon glass bottle is not available anymore 😢

Coco Noir is my absolute favorite – but I can attest the original bottle I bought when it first came out is not the same strength as one I bought only a year or two ago. They are definitely watering down/doctoring the fragrance. Chanel has lost their minds. 🙁

Was in a Chanel perfume boutique in Beijing the other day, the sales lady said they've discontinued Cristalle eau de parfum. I was shocked, thought since it was in the iconic chanel bottle they wouldn't discontinue it. Didn't see Coco Madmoiselle, Allure, or nr. 19….. heard they're opening a huge flagship store soon… what will they sell? People aren't spending as much money anymore!
About time a brand gets rid of some of the ridiculous amount of flankers! I’m tired of some of the brands birthing new flankers every other month!

I have to say, I understand why people say they don't care about people buying fakes or counterfeit goods, or why people should care. However, people don't necessarily "care" about people who own fake goods. Smart people will buy bags at luxrul . In fact, people who have money to buy luxury goods and invest in them do so for a reason.
Asking the customer service about the extraits last week, CHANEL answered to me:

I still have a 15 ml bottle of Coco Mademoiselle Extrait. I don’t know why, but after a few months the scent changed.. It‘s not sour but I can smell a weird difference.. almost like ammonia. Did you ever experienced something like that?
