@drdray Can you comment on people who don’t have typical body odor? It’s more like an oily smell? It even lingers on this family members sheets/clothes
Wear do you stand on crystal deodorant (potassium alum)? It doesn't mask odors and doesn't work unless you apply it to freshly washed skin, and it's not an antiperspirant. My understanding is that it prevents bacterial growth. It works great for me and has kind of a cult following. I can't remember if I've ever heard you talk about it.
Perhaps a diluted vinegar wash may help as well depending on the skin type. Trying to cover up the stink usually means double stink, and no one is fooled.
Lol seriously though, antiperspirants don't work for me, I still sweat straight through my clothes. So the best I can do is not stink when I do sweat. Some deodorants really do work for me though, some have ingredients that kill the bacteria. Antiperspirants are more likely to burn if I shave my pits. You're right though, all deodorants are not the same.
Aluminum in antiperspirants makes me break out for the better part of a week after using it (it's safe, of course, just very incompatible with my skin). The people in my life who will tell me I stink at the drop of a hat have nothing bad to say when I use Old Spice aluminum free; it's the most effective deodorant-only option I've found. When you're camping in the backcountry for days at a time, benzoyl peroxide isn't always a feasible option, though I love it for use at home.
I can take a shower at night ( don't apply deodorant/ antiperspirant after) and go to bed straight away. The next morning g upon awakening my armpits will stink. What did I do to make that occur? I was just sleeping…

But they say aluminum is linked to breast cancer, so what’s the deal?

Is this why people smell like flowers and a Whopper Jr?! 😂
Thank you so much! Im a bit chronically stinky, lmao. Started using Dr. Bronners under my arms, really helps. Ill try the acne wash.
I have no issue with aluminum free deodorant. I have low odor and don’t sweat easily
Bella prebiotic spray also helpful
