Castille is only 100% olive oil soap. It's rare as it takes at least 6 months to cure a cold process soap bar. Very mild. Bastille is usually with added castor oil. Anything else is just marketing crap. Sorry..

What is the shelf life on castle soap?
I use it for shampoo, hand soap, and we use the peppermint because it is very invigorating as it tingles and helps prevent headaches. I love it. I do not use it for shampoo though. We have hard water and have not had good success using it as shampoo because the water is bad. But that is not because of the soap. I also like to use Good Soap from Whole Foods. It is not castile soap, but has only 3 or 4 ingredients.

I just learned squishy soap recipe from Russell Brand Video of all places . I made it twice , I really like it n I dont know the exact recipe : Cornstarch , a lil Liquid soap or shower gel , Oil , Scent , I used Essential Oils n also a Scented Liquid soap can be enough too , optional color , I used a lil food coloring , but You can use soap coloring . Its like putty n You can stretch out the liquid soap n use as a whole soap or break pieces off , also it can make foam soap too , just add water , mix n dilute , put in one of those empty soap foam dispensers . It feels cleansing and not too oily too . Used it mostly for hand washing n like a guest soap . Ive havent seen the Dr. Jacobs yet , I would have to try ) . Ive used
Dr . Bronners with Baking Soda and Essential Oils , n also with Bleach or Vinegar if required for laundry before . I like to do it that way . Thank You for sharing .
I make my face wash with tea tree, clary sage, and rosemary as I tend to break out from hormones and the clary sage helps with that.
Just for reference the unscented baby Castile soap is best for pet and children as the essential oils in the scented version can be hazardous to pets especially cats.

Absolutely correct, Christa. Your bug-out vehicle should be a diesel engined one. Bio-diesel is made from combining Sodium (or potassium) hydroxide, Methanol, and vegetable oil.
The natural by-product (in addition to diesel fuel) is a substance called "glycerol" which in turn is a natural soap… which you know as "Castille"

It may seem laborious to make my own soap but it is prized by every one who receives it and I only need to make it every 4 to 5 years!
Kirk's Castile soap in bar form is truly the best. Just shaved some off with a potato peeler or a knife however you want to do it to make some curls of the soap and put in purified water and you've got liquid Castile soap that is better than Dr bronner's.
it's important to know that if you color your hair and then wash it with Castile soap, it will strip the color. It'll be having to color your hair every single week to keep it looking good.
Aleppo is probably from Aleppo Syria, I never have used it and I never would have used it to brush my teeth. If I remember right the potassium hydroxide is usually used to make liquid soap and the sodium hydroxide is used to make bar soap. Check out Uncle Jons here on YouTube he teaches how to make bar soap.

Please help…Do you need to add water to use. Everyone keeps saying 1 part soap and 4 parts water…but mine will not lather. Or can I use it straight, it does say on bottle Body Wash. Someone please help me
