I don't know if you have TJ Maxx where you live, but that's where I find a ton of my cruelty free shampoo/conditioner products. The only drawback is that if you find a product you like, it probably won't be there next time 😛 congrats on the job?!
what shampoo do you use?
I'm in love with all of the animal cruelty free product videos!💜
Britt; Firm believer in using what works, conversely weren't you just last week talking about a wedding experience??? :–D
You should try Maui moisture it's sulfate free and more and it's also cruelty free and drug store!
If you weren't looking for cruelty free produts, I'd really recommend Aussie mega moist deep conditioner it has that silicone you like a lot in it
Yeeey!!! So proud of you!
I've been using cruelty free products for a few years now, and I have to say, don't regret it a bit! Really hope you like your new findings… take good care of that hair, girl! You are my inspiration! 😍 I love OGX Biotin and Collagen!
Keep up the good work!
XO
Sam
♥ shopping theraphy is the best!! And hopefully you will get that new job (fingers cross)
Hi Brit, try Organix shampoo and conditioner!
I lost my macadamia oil oil treatment. Didn't even use it yet. I bought the bigger bottle too. Dang I just remembered. Curious about the Eva
I'm still searching for the perfect shampoo conditioner combo (I'm cruelty free, too), but for drugstore lipsticks I love Milani. Leaping Bunny certified!
I use Organix! I love their hair oils. And gurl, good luck on finding a great job that you'll love! <3
From the OGX haircare I only loved the pink ones (keratin or something), but they're quite expensive here in germany .. 8 Euros a bottle 😩
sunny isle are very good.
avoid chemicals in skincare products altogether.
Try the Trader Joe's tea tree tingle conditioner! I've also used the Not Your Mother's way to grow, but they have a few different conditioners. My hair seemed to only work with silicones too, but I don't think the Trader Joe's one has any but it makes my hair feel like butter! It would also be great to hear your thoughts on the Pacifica haircare products 🙂
Isn't dimethicone bad for growing out your hair? I heard that it coats the hair shaft and keeps the oils from fully absorbing into the hair? Correct me if I'm wrong, please.
The eva nyc hair mask is really popular, I was surprised you picked out the conditioner from the brand and not the mask. 🙂
Ok, so, from my research, dimethicone is easier washed out than silicone. Silicone is harder to wash out, hence the protection. But, many people found it built up on their hair. This is why products are going silicone free: Dimethicone is much easier to wash out, and gives our hair that slip. Without it, trust me, it's not pretty.
now, cruelty free: My research never proved that Pantene or HE were testing on animals. And no, I DO NOT trust Peta. They are sensationalist and are liars. Both of these products state on the bottle 'not tested on animals'. They can't lie on a package due false advertisment. Some of my friends commented on my use of these products, but until I see valid proof that these companies test on animals, I will continue to use it.
Good luck with the job!!!!
Hey you!! Try looking into AG Hair products–I used those back in the day and I LOVED them. Our hair is similar so perhaps given them a go 🙂 They are cruelty free–according to a site I found on the web(if you believe the web) 😉
I thought OGX was no longer cruelty free since starting to sell in China?
Yes your hair want silicones cause it is used to have it. Simple.. but it is not healthy at all. It makes your hair soft and shiny cause it coats it and nutrients can not penetrate into your hair. Pls read more and do not make video about benefits of using silicones….😀
Fingers crossed you get the job! I also have a second interview for a job coming up, so I feel you on that lol. Also, I second what someone about tjmaxx! I found an ayurvedic shampoo there that I love and will be a staple for sure.
I'm excited to see how these conditioners turn out! I'm guilty of using brands that test on animals, so I'm super excited to try out some cruelty-free conditioners. Btw if you're into makeup, a really nice brushes brand called 'Eco Tools' have cruelty free and high quality brushes at a reasonable price. Xo
I need them silicones too! 😀
You know I sell it at 100% Pure………right? Come do review in my store in Annapolis Mall! You are close to the ONLY STORE ON THE EAST COAST SO COME SEE ME!!! @100PERCENTPURE.COM
SILICONE IS BAD FOR YOU. THAT IS WHY.
I love Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal, as well as Repair and Protect, Beautiful Lengths and Anti Breakage, which I'm currently using. Herbal Essences is good..I like Hello Hydration…OMG..smells yummyyy! As far as Macadamia Professional, I currently use the Nourishing Moisture Mask. I'd like to try the shampoo and conditioner. You should try Garnier Fructis sometime. Damage Eraser rocks!
Hi Hun, just saw you talk about silicone. I had to say something as you have lovely hair. Dimethicone is NOT good for
your hair, it is in fact the cheapest most destructive type of "cone" in the family of cones.
Please try Amodimethicone. -This is a much less destructive "cone". Dimethicone is not water soluable and will continuously build up layers over you delicate hair strands. Once the layers get too heavy they will snap the core -EG: Your hair incased inside it. A little bit like a spider wrapping its web around a fly to kill it, You wont be aware of this untill it's too late. Amodimethicone is WATER SOLUBLE , e.g it will wash out each time you wash your hair -So you'll get the slip you need each time you come out the shower after washing it but without the destructive build -up of the cheaper cone. I
understand that like myself you need some sort of "slip" conditioner to
make your hair more managable and to detangle accordingly as you have
long hair also; but there are much better types of cones out there. After some time of using Amodimethicone , you will get a much better and more natural shine! By
the way, I love your youtube channel, especially all the hair vids of
course! 😀 xxx
