Yes, Chanel perfume collectors are suckers for all the items, but it’s getting worse and worse in terms of value. After my Christmas purchase, I decided to stick to their Les Exclusifs line and no 5, 200ml. You still get the most value out of the 200ml bottles. Thank you as always for amazing in depth review, Dacob 🙂 For me, No 5 is the scent of winter and Christmas, there just something brilliant about it this time of the year. Clearly you can wear it all year around but winter is truly where the magic is for me.
I once left a bottle in the sun and forgot about it until next day and thought I had ruined it but the aldehydes had gone more intense and I just loved it (still do) but as you say, its not something to recommend, unless you can tolerate your No 5 to be that intense 😉

Oh Dacob! What an amazing and prefect purchase. I don’t know why but No.5 has been such a lifeline for me recently it is so comforting to me at the moment and makes me feel complete. Sounds crazy to some people I know but it’s a very important perfume for me now and has always been.
However! I have been adding to my no. 5 collection recently and thought I had everything to bring me perfume peace but I now have FOMO for the 200ml chi the journey! Xxx😊
My big issue with Chanel N°5 extrait is that now the only (realistic and affordable) size available is 7.5…

Yes I am such a N°5 EDP girl too- swoon ❤❤.
I did buy the travel n°5 edp 7ml sprays with chain- just loved it, a sucker also for the chain, plus I will will use them when travelling , as well as my N°5 l'eau pebble ( its hot here atm), so not wasted on me, but I do know the price is bonkers. I wasnt a fan of the 100ml Xmas n°5 – looked tacky ( ha ha, with the metiere d'art box😂). The little travels with chain cost me about 320.00 aud!! The 200ml cost 420.00 aud here ( which is a better deal of course). I do think Chanel perfume is still not too bad price wise compared to some Niche frags, BR40 is hideous and not even close to Chanel perfume, but the price!!! :-/

Great video and suggestion Dacob! The EDP is my absolute favorite version, maybe because I'm an 80s baby 🤔 Love the color of the juice of your 200ml bottle and just the sheer size of that beautiful bottle. I may have to scoop one of these up before another price increase. I also recently got the their holiday set No 5 EDP 1.7/Body Oil 3.4, mainly because I loved the box it came in. I know, I am a total sucker. Anyway, thanks again for all of the great videos and work!
Yes these limited edition releases do seem kinda like a cash grab. The $20,000 extrait says only 15 will be made and numbered, so I guess only 15 people can buy them (if that, lol). They better include some pretty sweet freebies for these special editions anyway – and I don't mean pretty boxes and paper bags.
As a snow lover, I so wish I could buy the snow frosted EDP, but alas I am poor.
Hi Dacob, you express so well my opinion of Chanel. I love their perfumes of which I think so many are masterpieces but Chanel is going cray cray with prices and strategy becoming more and more off putting. I’m basically stocking up on my favorites as I expect I’ll soon be fed up with their prices and direction and stop being a client. So I just got myself the 200ml of the No 5 as my back up 🤦♀️, thanks for the tip! However, I don’t need the silly overpriced limited edition blah silk cape so that I’ll pass!
I thought the no5 limited frosted edition had a freshier scent from no5 classic. When a check on fragrantica the main accord is defferent .and now you say its the same scent ?????? I have a frosted bottle on the way ☹️

I have one interesting story connected with this beauty) One day I had to do the chores and decided to take my little dog with me) before leaving the house I applied Chanel N5 edp and took my Amour (that’s the dog’s name))) on my arms. At first I decided to go to the pets’ store. As I walked into the store my dog immediately ran up to the shop assistant to say hello))) the guy became very delighted not only because of my dog) he took him on his arms and started sniffing the air around Amour))) the guy was amazed and rolled his eyes) then asked me whether that gorgeous scent was coming from the dog?!))))
I have the 100ml eau de parfum and also the tiny bottle which as you know was my Xmas present for being such a fabulous customer 🙄 I would have loved to get the 200ml but I found the bottle really heavy and I was bothered I might drop it. I love the 100ml though because I can drench myself in it. It is the best perfume ever as far as I'm concerned. I'm so pleased for you 🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛

lol it’s like how they brought out the sublimage l’extrait de nuit in a limited edition PU sleeve lined in a slither of lesage tweed in a (very nice box IMO) for $2000 cad. Like, give me the cofret for free for buying this overpriced serum.
