  2. will pushing your weight open the wound again? really cautious about doing this 3 days after laparoscopic virecocelectomy on my left side.

  3. I just had an abdominal hysterectomy two days ago. Since I'm out the hospital bed, I don't know how to sleep since my bed doesn't have an incline. I'm scared to lay on my side because of the pressure. Can someone please help me??

  4. Had mine on 2018, and this is so helpful. Today, i sent this to my bff for her use. Thank you so much❤

  5. I'm so glad I found this video. I'm actually doing okay getting in an out of bed. My mom has had two hip replacements so I have been doing what she was taught to do since the hospital didn't show me how to get in and out of bed. My problem is that I am a left side sleeper. I'm five days post op and not sleeping very well because I'm having a hard time turning onto my side. I'm a a very large woman so movement isn't the greatest under normal circumstances. I'm wearing the belly band to bed. I'm just super afraid of hurting myself when I try to roll to my side and try to get comfortable. Any advice?

  6. I can't even turn on my sides!
Is not that easy at all, you don't have pain and obviously, it's easy for you.
    Thanks for sharing anyway.

  7. just went through an abdominal hysterectomy yesterday. this video is really helpful. thank you very much

  8. Had a hysterectomy 6 days ago! This was extremely helpful because my husband has been helping me get out of bed.

  9. Thank you for this!!! I wish the nurses had told me this when I was in the hospital after my open surgery hysterectomy. I struggled to get out of bed without this technique. It was exhausting and painful. I am sharing your video with anyone I know who has had abdominal surgery. Thank you!

  10. Thank you! This video really helped me. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy 4 days ago. I was able to get out of bed alone using this technique 36 hrs after my surgery. You really need good arm and leg strength to do it. I did morning yoga everyday two months before the surgery, and I think this really helped a lot. I feel very flexible, and I’m walking much better than I did with my c section. Your channel is going to help me during this difficult process. Thank you!

  11. Thank you! This technique should be taught to ALL women before their hysterectomy!!! I'm going to tell my oncological gynecologist. No one showed me this and getting out of bed has been torture. I injured my back and my arm muscles in the unnecessary struggle. With this technique, my injuries would NOT have happened.

  12. I am having total abdominal hisyerectomy bilateral salpingo this Tuesday March the 30th, they found a big 20 cm mass on my abdomen so I will have a huge incision, I am so scared. 14. I have a step ladder to get in bed. My bed dit up high and I'm t short to get in and out without the ladder.

  15. I had my hysterectomy in 2012 and this vid saved me so much. I found it pre op. To this day (I just shared it a few min ago) this is THE vid I send to any lady I find online who is pre op. It's been a huge help to countless ladies since 2012!

  16. Your video is amazing. I watched this video over and over again before and after my Hysterectomy. And all my Hystersisters also benefited from this very crucial video. Thank you so very much. I am so shocked that the nurses in the hospital do not instruct you on such an important movement to help minimise the pain of getting out and into bed.

  17. By far one of the most helpful videos I've watched since my abdominal myomectomy 4 weeks ago. I cannot thank you enough, Michelle! I received excellent care at the hospital, but oddly no one showed me how to safely maneuver one of the most basic activities post surgery: going from lying down to sitting up. I was struggling with this painfully and awkwardly trying to figure this out on my own until I came across your video, Michelle. Now I can sit up with ease. Many thanks!

  18. I'm 3 weeks PO and this technique has helped me tremendously. Just curious as to when and how does one start attempting to get out of bed normal again?

  19. Thank you so much, I had hysterectomy last week and my hospital sent me home with no advice on how to get out of bed safely with minimal pain. Was never visited by physio during my hospital stay. Your technique is perfect solution for me!

  20. Thank you so much this was so so so helpful as the nurses in the hospital were not helpful when I asked for help with getting out of bed! Appreciate this video a lot.
