Are you frequently washing your hands or have super dry skin? These beeswax lotions bars were created for my honey; a fireman who works in extremely difficult conditions. His hands were a wreck! These melt-in-your-hands lotion bars are very convenient, non-greasy, long lasting, and great for reliving chronic skin conditions (eczema, itching dry skin, rashes, etc). They do a PurrFect job hydrating and protecting extremely dry skin, as well as a great alternative to messy liquid-based creams. Just throw in a purse, work bag, or backpack to get beautiful hands or feet again. Bee warned: hide them from others in your house or they will quickly disappear! 🙂

Cheers, meows, and bee happy,
Alison, Hobbes & “the girls”

INSTRUCTIONS:
In a small bowl (only used for crafts), add beeswax, shea butter, and cacao butter. Add 1” water a small pot and place on stove. Add bowl on top, creating a double-boiler. Slowly cook on low to medium heat until melted. Remove from stove.

Add oils and gently mix. Add arrowroot powder or cornstarch, pressing out the lumps as you stir* Return to double-boiler over low heat, to completely liquidly the mix. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, carefully pour into soap-sized molds. Allow to completely cool before putting them into 2” round containers.

To use, just warm in hands to slightly melt bar. Ideally rub onto damp skin to hold in moisture. Perfect for hands, feet, elbows, knees, or any dry skin area. Keep in cool place to retain the shape of the bar.

*For Tropical or Dry Climates*
If you live in a tropical climate or prefer a drier bar, double the amount of arrowroot powder or cornstarch. If you live in a dry climate, half the amount. Note: because this bar has no water, it will have a little of a “greasy feel” compared to the heavily processed bars sold over the counter to extend shelf life. Just rub extra lotion onto other areas of skin o to quickly absorb.

  1. These look amazing, thank you for your instructions they are so easy to follow I will have to give time a go.

  2. If anyone can convert evrything after the 3 main ingredients to teaspoons, I will be able to stop guessing as my scale stops at tenths if an ounce.
