My guilty pleasure is I love a body scrub so much lol and maybe over do it xx
I have loved perfume for far longer than I have skincare, and even dabble in making my own. Essential oils has always been easy to find, but thanks to the Internet, it is now easy to my smaller amounts of aromachemicals (synthetic molecules) instead of whole vats.
I don't mind fragrance in skincare ptoducts as long as I like the smell. If I don't it can put me off using them.
The IFRA (International Fragrance Association) has strictly regulated the use of fragrant materials in products.
This can be a good thing when limiting the amounts of allergens – even banning some – when it comes to skincare.
With fragrance it's another story.
Most, if not all, classic perfumes like Chanel no.5 and Shalimar, has had to change their formula because ot these regulations. Many other have disappeared because they can't even be approximated with other ingredients.
To a perfume lover this is maddening. How bad can it be that a fragrance gives you a rash? You just stop using it.
Or wear it on fabric! Perfuming your skin was seen as immoral until the beginning of the 20th century.
Love this video! I also have a thing for fragrance…I also love using the Emma Hardie moringa cleansing balm as a hydration mask. It's super bougie but so lush haha
Let us know your guilty pleasure guys 🙂 xx
Omg lol the equivalent to Marks & Spencers is JC Penny's. I walkin in just to bee-line my way to the sephora inside lol
I'm all about the fragrance in hair care products. Skin, not so much, but my holy grail foundation is a Chanel that has a bit of fragrance and (gasp) alcohol. Guilty pleasure there, but I don't use it that often or I would go bankrupt. ETA : Jergens original scent body lotion. Throws me back to my childhood.
Using Aromatherapy Associates Soothing Facial Oil because it smells absolutely divine and luxurious! Fragrance, essential oils, $110 CAD for a tiny bottle, and I’m still lovin’ it.
After a shower a terry wash cloth is THE only thing that clears my pores. Not masks, not any acids or scrubs. The 15 minutes of warm water makes the clogs raise up which makes them easier to remove. The rest of the skin is so soft now the terry cloth exfoliates that easily too.
oh i love fragrance in skincare… but one of My guilty skin care pleasures is always trying new hyped products.. lol
I know it’s technically bad!, but I LOOOVE popping zits!😖
If I see a white head on my face I feel so yucky and dirty and embarrassed lol! I will gently poke it with a sterilized needle so the skin doesn’t tear while coming out. I have definitely made changes in positive directions to justify my actions haha!😂
Hmmm I don’t know if I have a guilty pleasure 😂 maybe how scrubs feel on my face
Sheet masks are my guilty pleasure-they really give me a spa feel, especially if I take the time to lie down, and relax! But it pains me that it generates so much trash as a single use product!😕 And fragrance…oh, how I love a beautifully fragranced product, but I get headaches and migraines from so many scents, BUT every so often, I come across a scent that I can tolerate without issue…which I really don’t understand?! So, of course I still buy scented products, and when I realize I can’t use them, my mom and sister benefit!💜💜💜
OMG, it is so funny that you guilty pleasure is skin care in Marks & Spencer. For me it is one of better stores, because it is British. 😀 I have to check if they have some skincare products here in Czech Republic.
Enjoyed your content, I hope you like mine
We all have our guilty pleasures lol! I LOVE a good foaming cleanser (I’m oily and acne prone as well), and I definitely am too aggressive when I cleanse my face/eyes. Oh yes and the discount skincare at Marshall’s and Winners 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ I cant help myself! I just need to check it out every time
My guilty pleasure is scented products. I have incredibly reactive skin and a lot of scented products I cannot use but there are some I can. DERMA-E Universal Cleansing Balm…to me smells a little like bubblegum….love it. Gilchrist and Soames….I love their spa therapy shampoo and conditioner because they smell fantastic! Also I do love the 24K mask from PeterThomasRoth…..I have only bought a small jar as the full size is $85.
I hear you about those fragrances. My skin just can’t take it, but I totally sniff some skincare at the shop.
Cleansing is probably my favourite step of my routine and I cleanse based on the condition of my skin on the day. I'm embarrassed to say I had 14 cleansers open at one point last year and made it a 2020 goal to go on a cleanser no buy. I am now down to 6!
Cleansing my oily face too often! Guilty as charged.😑
Lovely video! I know I'm late but I'll bite; while I think I am well disciplined on this but I can definitely get the fragrance thing. I remember when i bought the truth serum from old henrikson…omg the creamsicle scent..I would sniff it like a drug before putting it on my face.😂 Another guilty pleasure I think I'm mastering is buying too much products, sometimes on impulse. i remember doing that after seeing an influencer mention a product. I don't want to go broke not use too many products and risk ruining my skincare so I stopped. I think.
One thing I KNOW I'm bad at is diet. I'm acne prone and according to some experts i should be avoiding dairy, sugar and carbs among other things. Oh well. I also sleep on my stomach so it's hard to keep all my skincare leave on stuff on my face because I can't for the life of me sleep on my back after a few minutes.
Love my foaming cleanser too 😆
Drugstore skincare it’s what they call it here in the USA
8:34 "it could be the most toxic product but if it had a Yorkshire label on it, I won't hear a bad word on it and I'll buy it" I could listen to you for hours and hours, please keep posting such chatty videos. 😊
9:20 Marks & Spencer 'someone under the age of 80 wouldn't be caught inside' 😝
I love fragrance too! I am lucky not to have sensitive skin. My daughter does and must be careful. I love when companies like Purito do two versions of popular products.
My guilty pleasure is having too many steps in my skincare routine. I know I do, but as a homeschool mom of 3 boys the 30 mins in the morning and the 45 mins in the evening I have to do skincare is almost my meditation time.
Also I'm American, and I love all things British. I'm trying to lower my skincare miles, but I'm addicted to the UK. I believe the only way to lower my miles is to move there.
