Wow, filling up the empty suitcase, was an eye opener for me! 🙈
We purchased shelf sets made for under vanities which have sliding racks that make room for pipes. Now we have three levels of things stored in there.
Id never be able to share that small of a bed 😂
How to contact you to clarify where to buy the clear plastic boxes that you indicated were hard to find.
The tip to store items in your suitcases is GENIUS! I need to go stuff things I don't regularly use/need (such as winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter) into my suitcase! O.O
another great tip is if you want to store blankets or out of season clothing or just rotate your clothes, are vacuum sealed bags
Two people sleep on the bed?👀🤔
I've been using those Muji drawers for about 20 years. So useful. Fantastic when moving house as you don't have to pack anything – it all just stays in the drawers. 🙂
command hooks are helpful
hi, i was wondering if by any chance you happen to remember where you got your lovely couch from?
No caps but you are pretty
Thanks for the ideas. I was having storage issues. I couldn’t make room. It Felt like I had too much. But you helped me come up with ideas to get my place looking right.
I'm going from a 5bd 3bath home to a 2bd 2bath apartment. I agree with what you said, I do have a lot of stock cleaning products, to, paper towels and water bottles. So I will have to stop doing that! 😅😅
Hi Maddie, was wondering where you got your shelving unit with doors? Thanks so much for the tips!
The awkward space at the end where you have that dresser you could also do floating shelves all the way up the wall which will give more storage space and can easily be taken out when moving and fixed by patching the small screw holes and repainting white
These are such good tips!!
I really wanted to finish this video – but the echo/audio was just jarring. It’s easier to follow when you use mics.
Thank you your video was excellent even though I live in New York I live in a one-bedroom and all the ideas were perfect keep doing more videos you're good at this❤
This was such a helpful video! Thank you! However, I would love to know how you store your laundry..
Very cool flat.
Where is your wardrobe from???
Great ideas . Where is the shelving unit from ?
Where did u get that song from??????? It's "Brazy" from an icelandic artist. I thought I was the only one who knew him 😂❤️
Omg u linked them all. Herooo
Where are the dining table chairs from?!!
Lots of great ideas! Thx! 🙂
Those storage boxes from IKEA are expensive but worth it …..I have many…..it beats the frustration of decluttering
I inherited a round table that had 2 folding leaves on either side so that it folded down to a small rectangle that was almost flat to the wall and it was so handy in our first house with a kitchen/ diner . We replaced it when we moved to a bigger house with a separate dining room but saely you don't see them around these days .
Thanks for these cute, inexpensive ideas!
My only regret with our new bed was we didnt think of under bed storage. Silly stupid mistake. Its too close to the ground and its a king size hefty bed and mattress. Next time getting one with either the storage draws built in or high enough to put drawers under them.
I loved the storage boxes idea under the bed.. I live in London so I feel you 😂
"Awkward" is spelled incorrectly. Not akward.
Are those “tips” or common sense?
Kinda disappointed with the ideas offered as it’s really not new, but normal. I would have loved to see references (as for the couch!) for items or furniture that are genius and not enough known about
Finally a video that shows practical solutions for those of us who have tiny city spaces. I am empty nester but I have a large family who occasionally spends a few nights. The linens alone take up lots of room. Suitcases, bins under beds, etc. I really appreciate the minimal organized look of your space.
For bathrooms/toilets, you can always get those toilet paper stacking things that you place on the ground next to the toilet for an easy grab
Where did you get your dining chairs? 🙂
A foldable ironing board is really not super difficult to store. I’ve hung ours on the back of our bathroom door, have stored it in the small gap between our fridge/cabinet and have even slid it under or behind our sofa. The iron, however, just sits on top the dryer or is sometimes just stored in a random cabinet. But, that steamer? Ooh, that looks sleek! It’s nice, and it looks easy to use and does a wonderful job—I wish you had linked it! 🤓
“Speaking” of ’stored in a random cabinet,’ I believe a lot of folks think that bathroom things need to be stored in the bathroom, or kitchen things need to be stored in the kitchen— but, really “they” don’t, do they? 😉 Showcasing that you can store items basically anywhere in an apartment is something a lot of folks, who are not “living tiny”, don’t even think about doing in their own home! For me… “If it fits there—it [stored] sits there! ✌🏻
I love those boxes that are similar to drawers. Brilliant idea.
Even though i have a lot of space I enjoyed watching this and I love that this was actually helpful and not another youtuber who just wanted to show of their "tiny" mansion
To the people who don’t want to pay the exorbitant prices for those large Muji drawers:
I DIYed small IKEA Malm 2-drawer chests (nightstands?) to fit in my wardrobe. Those were easy to find secondhand — I ended up buying 3 and paid around 14 euros total.
The nightstands were too high on themselves to fit under a shelf, so I took them apart and sawed off some of the length of the side panels and the back panel.
I also lifted the drawer slides so that the drawers ended up closer together. Opening the top drawer is still easy, because I cut a piece of old fake leather belt and screwed a loop of it as a handle.
Then I took off the horizontal support post that’s attached in between of the drawers. I screwed it flat under the drawers to maintain the integrity of the furniture. I think I srewed one such post nearer to the back of the nightstand, too.
It took me maybe two hours per chest to do (including cleaning my bathroom afterwards because I live in an spartment). Someone with proper woodworking space and tools easier on hand will do it much quicker.
It was also very cheap DIY as on top of the chests, I only needed to buy a little bag of screws. A small drill was useful to make holes for the screws to be fitted in (I used a Dremel).
I wouldn’t put anything too heavy on top of these DIYs but it’s not an issue to me. I’ ve been very, very happy with the end result. It’s stylish and useful, and I saved a lot of money! : D
(This project delights me for enviromental reasons, too. A few of the chests had scratches on them, and wouldn’t have been cherished as nightstands anymore. To me, that didn’t matter because nobody will see the top or sides of the nightstands anyway.)
Where are the clear boxes from please?
Thanks, this really helped
Like your sofa!!! And thanks for tips to maximize a smaller place
