A magic trick makes the strip down a doddle but the big lumps have to come off first. Thankfully, big jobs are made light by having a mate around to lend a hand. That’s kind of a magic trick in itself. Still, no matter how many rusty bits we remove, that chassis is still a heap of rust and that’s going to need addressing.

Excellent video chaps. #MilwaukeeChristmas

You have an awsome cameraman, he(or she I don't know) is really really patient one. I love seeing every single part of the progress and you give us, I love u dude <3
Very nice video. Looking forward to see next epsisodes with this Rat Rover 👍 #MilwaukeeChristmas
#MilwaukeeChristmas My favourite episode so far, pleased you had little problem persuading the bolts to undo as I always have a problem with these as I found when changing the struts on my Landrover and had 14mm bolts to free off.
#MilwaukeeChristmas The whole Range Rover restoration series is absolutely fantastic! Always look forward to new episodes and there are so many new things you can learn especially for advanced DIYers! Keep it up Chaps!
Edd it's great to see you and Paul together again and it's grand that he's now allowed to talk now. Paul @ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdq2jaxcmgyX0AERivIB2Tw
For rust treatment have a look at Bilt Hamber products. Great channel, keep up the good work!.
Theres a chemical product used in the usa called evaporust that stops and converts existing rust into solid metal. ABOM69 uses it
The journey is what is important not the destination right? I think? And that is is why you are overhauling this Rover?
What many people forget are the panels from the inside. They can look like the outside and get no treatment by blasting etc. A chemical dipping is making the most sense. Also preparing it before dipping is of course better. But what do i know 😅
amazing!!!!!!!!
Türkçe seslendirme gelsin 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Please dont ua spray foam on the roof of you workshop as it gets everywhere. It can also fail a building survey as it covers the structural beams in foam and the cant be inspected.
Also, when you replace the roof you will struggle to dislose of the panels
Gotta love those Milwaukee powertools. They are capable of almost everything 👍
fix the rust & brackets ect before you blast/clean that way you can paint or coat it so its not bear metal for to long !!!
How about rust removal via electrolysis? Granted it doesn't have the wow factor of lasers but it is very handy and accessible to the DIYer (especially for smaller parts) without the need for expensive tools or chemical agents.
Dry ice blasting is really cool!
Dip the chassis in a pool of vinegar !!
33:00 – Звук режущего металла на всех языках звучит одинаково))).
Is that a bed in the workshop !!
Can I just take a moment to applaud the close-up cinematography and editing on this show! It's top notch. Nearly every operation is clear, well-lit, and all seamlessly edited together with minimal, tasteful music. It must take ages to set up. And the set lighting, gobos, etc. really enhance the look. Very impressive. As someone who's done a fair bit of filming and editing myself, I really appreciate the high level of workmanship of the production, in addition, of course, to the obviously fine mechanical workmanship of Edd and Paul!
why didn't you just cut the exhaust up to remove it? – making it easier, you're not going to use it again, are you?
Interesting how easily things can start feeling like a very long tv commercial. Nevertheless a delight to watch. 👍
This is everything wheeler dealers was and now it isnt
I would suggest to brush off the rust, also use a air needle for the big rust crusts. After all the rust is removed you will treat the chassis with “Ferrotox – Rust Converter” from Alco. Then you can paint the chassis with hammerhite.
Mükemmel sin edd
Time to send the rolling frame to the sand blasters (using crushed walnut shells, of course) 👍
Hi Edd, great to see you and Paul back, and really enjoying the work on the Range Rover, I've not watched the Mini work yet but only found you on YouTube 2 days ago, the Ice Cream van is amazing. keep up the good work, Peter
So between parts and labor you will have $10,000 invested and you end up with a vehicle worth $500.
Incase you missed the hidden message at 9:35
Very good Edd. It is funny how these sage-like advice filter down through the ages but we heard recently that if you have a cluster of bolts to undo to remove a part; always start with the one that is most awkward to get to and that way the last bolt holding the part in place will be the easiest to get to and that will make the whole job easier in the long run! You see, we can be just as funny!!
ok why is there a bomb behind Edd (time ref: 33:38) 🙂
Edd and paul is it me but when you where taking off the shocks is me or did i see two spilt pins to keep top of shocks from comming off the car isn t that a bad design ?
Nice to hear Paul speaking.
Hello Ed , i wish if you chase an Toyota Land Cruiser HJ60 HRF( High Roof ) for fixing 2h engine. Best Regards!
Dipped is the way to go.
Paul's technique on removing that ball joint was admirable. Only straight upwards pressure and few good whacks with a hammer . No pickle forks or fancy tools needed here. Just some experience.
i like the new gen lasers. been awhile since last update! A Chemical bath might be better for the rust piles inside the pipes 🙂
Milwaukie power tools and shifters I presume it's a sponsorship deal as het are ultra expensive
Old school restoration. Reminds of my ancient 1951 jeep, which chassis I had stripped of everything. Satisfying work, though, very hard to deal with old, dirty, rusty, sometimes improperly modified parts….
Congratulations for valuing almost forgotten roots mechanical practice.
Gawd, what a power strangling exhaust system is that!!
Fantastic, no disrespect intended Edd but Paul, its time to have your own series
Ed, you and Paul work so well together – two mates who CARE!!! and having fun doing it!
Well ride of brewer good luck for the future
For those of us who fantasize about getting a LR V8 at some point in time, would love to know your opinion on the slipped piston sleeves issue. How do we find a good engine and what does it take to fix it?
Best show ever Edd
Greetings from Argentina
How do you organise the labelling and storage of the parts as you take them off the Range Rover?
hi really enjoying your videos. iv'e always been a grease monkey at heart.
