I actually use the neutrogena Norwegian formula fragrance free hand cream on my lips.
I'm looking for a cheaper option to the $12 lip balm I'm using right now but it's hard because a lot of things make my lips peel off (lanolin being one of them and vaseline hasn't really helped either)

What kind of gum do you chew? I'm addicted to him, but hate the chemicals. The natural gums are full of sugar and go hard really fast. Anyone have recommendations pls let me know!
I struggle with lip products. I don't lick my lips. My lips are so dry, they crack even with frequent petrolatum application. I tried the Cerave Healing Ointment but if it gets into a crack or inside my mouth I get localized swelling. I like the Aquaphor SPF lip ointment but I'm going to try the Vanicream next.
Is isopropyl palmitate, zinc sulfate and magnesium sulfate safe in lipbalm?

Can you exfoliate lips?
I take different meds and they cause me severe dry mouth. Dry mouth = dry lips. Severe dry lips.
Besides Vaseline, the best thing I've found for lips is Palmer's Cocoa Butter, the solid cream in a tub. They have a lip balm too but I prefer the cream.

Nivea milk and honey for moisture first (absolute love and go to, but the new formula makes me cry)
Sunbum mineral lip balm SPF 30 (I enjoy the slight lip tint the white does)
Finish it off with classic ๐ฏ petrolatum
It's been what I've done for many months and works best for me. I've been doing the Nivea and Vaseline for years and it's amazing.
Same thing at night just without the SPF
Plus I have variations… Just a 6 chapstick collection.

I've been wearing it since the 70's and am rarely bothered by the tack-factor.
Once in awhile I run across an annoying brand, but overall it's my best friend.๐ค๐๐ป๐
My favorite balm is Carmex. It's the only one I've found that I can put on at bedtime and still have on my lips when I wake up. Everything else wears off and my lips are parched by morning.
