I was watching a Risa Does Makeup video this morning and she mentioned a beautiful blush that one of her fellow YouTube influencers was wearing by Lancôme who also lives in Vegas but she said a “Michelle Wong” but I’m pretty sure it was you as you said you live in Vegas, too! Have never heard of "quiet luxury" before and just saw one other video before yours about it. I'm not surprised that the trend is going this way. I think we will see lots of it in the Fall and Winter. I do like your idea of quiet luxury items like your laundry detergent and your make up removers. We all like one or two little things that make us happy and feel good. I think that this is just all classic wardrobe. It has always been in style. I think we all have at least one item in our closet that is fine quality. We know it and it makes us feel good to wear it and we look good wearing it.
Quiet luxury in my country is using reusable bag and cheap looking clothes to the bank so evil ppl wouldn’t set their eyes and bad intentions on u 😆😂

Even if it becomes super famous and popular it’s still quiet in esthetic. It becoming popular and recognized doesn’t change that. So Hermes is still quiet luxury. I also feel this “quiet luxury” is popular because trends change and now we are going back a whole different direction. People taking out the implants and bbls and going natural head to toe. It’s really a flex because regular people will take a long time to catch up. So it was like since everybody now looks like a kardashian the kardashians ran another direction. It’s like catch me now lol. It’s definitely a flex move by the wealthy. Then everyone else follows.
I think that you should come and visit Turin (Italy) because you’ll find quite a good example of quiet luxury. The way wealthy people dress is subdued and the less you show, the more you own. In the centre and Quadrilatero you would find little boutiques with unknown brands but very expensive prices. In Crocetta is more the old money/bourgeois style.
I think Hermes is still quiet luxury. Bc only people who are knowledgeable about handbags know about them. Majority of the population wouldn’t recognize one

I wonder why Tom Ford is not creating a buzz in the quiet luxury brands. This brand never adhered to logomania and is seriously one of my fave brands. At one point, I wanted to intern for the brand. Also, just a little tidbit of info, they are having an awesome sale right now and I’ve gotten a few pieces 😉
Quiet luxury is not talking about your wealth, what you wear, or hearing people say how lovely something looks on themselves.
I share your love for pillow mists. I will even use regular perfume (just a spritz, it lasts for days) on my pillows, if I want a particular scent that is not available as pillow mist. It just makes me happy. I go to sleep and wake up in a good mood, and that feeing is priceless.

A nice wrist watch. It tells a lot about a person. Not a loud brand that announce itself and call attention to itself like Rolex, etc.. A discreet one like a Tiffany & Co. watch would be a nice quiet luxury. Only people who know will recognize.
Quiet luxury is having a private room in a world class hospital and round the clock caretaker, housekeeper, and chauffeur at home; no matter which home you are staying. It means private jet booking at a moment’s notice and private airport access. It means your neighbors have no idea who you are and how deep is your pocket.
I will never buy Hermes and Chanel bags because the brands become too commonplace. I have vintage LV monogram classic bags that are well used and cared for.

IMO one more factor is about the economy and the quiet recession and rise in inequality. Seems just crass to show off logos and brands when people see the prices higher and higher, and salaries not so much (I am not in US and say this with a global mindset). Seems that fashion is sensitive to it, we saw this before in previous recessions. (I myself always preferred neutral colours and not so many logos because…. I am discrete, I guess)
For me, Schiaparelli definitely can be considered a quiet luxury brand since people who aren't interested in fashion don't know what it is… some people who are interested in fashion sometimes don't recognize their ready-to-wear section 😂 Sending love from Brazil 🇧🇷❤️

You make a good point when you say that quiet luxury is not just about fashion. It is interesting how we have gone from fast fashion to quiet luxury. This is how I see it: Many people are suffering in this economy, and some of us are okay so some of us don't want to look like we are privileged. For me it is not about knowing but just fitting in.
