This formula can be adjusted to suit your preferences in regards to the colour of the tinted lip balm and the strength of the pigment. Tinted lip balms are notorious for limited shade ranges and extremely sheer applications which make them difficult to show up on darker skin tones. I wanted to create a tinted lip balm suitable for a variety of skin tones, especially rich and deeper shades.

Thank you. My skin tone is an olive to dark tan and none of those burts bees tinted balms ever showed up on me. I would love to see your take on a more mauve or pinky color, but these red brown, chocolate, and burgundy shades are very beautiful.

No burts bees lip balm ive ever gotten has had beeswax as the actual main ingredient… mine all say sunflower, coconut, aroma then beewax….
Elise, are you a chemist?? You mix these ingredients together flawlessly!! I was just thinking the other day that it’s so hard to find “nude” tinted lip balms for brown skin and you provided a natural diy solution once again. I will be trying this out this summer once I get the hang of making diy hair products which has been going pretty well thanks to your helpful videos. Trying not to be a product junkie with my diy products until I create a designated space for them all. 😅 You are truly a Godsend. ❤️

These pigments are not natural isnt it. Will not mica harmful to our lips.will it change the natural color of the lips? I mean will it darken the lips? Plz reply
