#Wigcare #Wigmaintenance #Humanhairwigs

Welcome to my Channel! If you’re new here I’m Elana, and I’ve had Alopecia Universalis for over 12 years. Over that time I learned a lot about wigs and making them look natural as possible. I love wearing my natural bald crown but I also love playing with wigs in different styles and colors, that’s why I started Vanali!

I’ve received so many questions on how I maintain my wigs, I wanted to show the most important part which is conditioning your hair! You want to use the best products to protect and nourish the hair just like you would for your own. The more you protect it the longer it will last you! 😉

📌WIG CARE INSTRUCTIONS!📌
– Grab a medium size bowl/ container
– Dissolve Conditioner first (using a small amount of hot water & mixing with fingers to reduce clumps)
– Then add enough cold water in order to fully submerge your wig (THE WATER SHOULD NOW BE LUKEWARM TO COOL TEMP)
*IF POSSIBLE MAKE SURE THE WIG IS TANGLE FREE BEFORE SUBMERGING USING A WIDE TOOTHED COMB BOTTOM UP*
– Gently work the condition into the hair (no rubbing required)
– Allow to sit for a minimum of 30mins to an hour
– Air dry by laying it out over a towel, or on top of a wig stand overnight

  1. Love this video and thanks for sharing. Where did you find the wig stand

  2. Thank u for this! When I've washed my wigs, i find that 3 days after, the hair starts getting a little stiff again… Any tips? I try to wash my wig at least once a week.

  3. I would put the conditioner and some water and a jar and really shake it up good and it will be a lot easier when you pour it into the container to rinse the wig in it

  4. Thank you so much for this information. I have so many wigs stored away because they got old I didn’t know how to take care of them now I do 🫶🏾

  5. Nice video. I use the same method you demonstrated except I do not soak the wig or comb it while wet. I swish it around then allow the wig to drip completely dry before combing it. Hanging the wig on a shower head overnight to drip dry is a good option. Combing and excessive rinsing strips the wig hair of its manageability and sheen.

  6. I’m grateful for your instructions on how to wash human hair wigs. I’m new to wearing wigs. I have only one Wig and it needed to be washed. I was considering throwing it away. I followed your instructions and my wig is like new again. Thank you so much.

  7. Hey🥺
Will this also clean the stains on the lace too?
