Use this link to watch an easy to follow video on how to make a Super Quick Healthy Smoothie To Go.

This recipe makes a tasty, healthy smoothie full of antioxidants, fiber and goodness in 5 minutes (thats how long it took to film the video). I hope you enjoy it and if you find it helpful then please comment below.

Recipe:
8oz water
2 hands full of 2 different leafy green
Frozen berries
4 oz milk (or substitute) (optional)
BLEND

I call it a green smoothie but its not green at the end.. its pink.

You can use any leafy green for the green portion:
Spinach
Kale
Romaine Lettuce
Are an example of a few
I mention coriander and parsley which a great cleansing herbs but you would only want to use a small bunch of these as the taste can be overpowering.
Another option is celery, although it is not that leafy.

There are many options of frozen berries at the supermarket. They freeze them when they are fresh so they are a good option. You can try any berry combination you like. Any left over berries can go back in the freezer. This is a great option for when you don’t have any fresh fruit in the house. Its best to always keep some frozen berries in the freezer for those days.

Almond milk is a great dairy free substitute for milk. If you feel happy with dairy then please use any milk you would normally use. They all work the same for this recipe (coconut milk may change the taste slightly but that is no bad thing).

For a thicker smoothie you could add yoghurt or less liquid. For a more liquify smoothie add more water or milk.

I would really encourage you to make this Super Quick Healthy Smoothie To Go your own and amend the recipe as it suits you that day.

Its a great way to get your daily dose of fruit and vegetables in one sitting, in one drink. This recipe will make about 2 glasses (depends on the size of your glass). I would say its enough for one person but you may want to share.

Brands of blenders: The nutribullet is great for making a smoothie for one. For multiple people you may want a larger blender like Vitamix or refill the one you have several times. There are many brands of blenders available and any of these would work fine. They are especially suitable when starting out with homemade smoothies, when you may not be ready to invest in one of the more expensive blenders.

I hope this was useful. Please check back for more videos on other health/ wellbeing related topics.
