I only went into storylines related to the ending, but there are definitely unexplained parts of the story that I left out because I can&#8217;t find definitive answers.<\/p>\n<p>1. The opening cutscene. Where are we in the opening cutscene, with this tree and the kingdom reflected in the water? Also, WHEN are we, if she&#8217;s referring to Drangleic in the past tense?<\/p>\n<p>2. Who are the giants?<\/p>\n<p>3. What did King Vendrick steal?<\/p>\n<p>4. Why does the giant lord give you the giant&#8217;s kinship? Why do we need the giant&#8217;s kinship to open the throne?<\/p>\n<p>5. Why does the emerald herald say we&#8217;re breaking the shackles of fate, when we&#8217;re clearly adhering to fate by linking the fire all over again? Is she referring to how we&#8217;re breaking the shackles of the undead curse?<\/p>\n<p>7. Why does Nashandra just wait at the throne to be challenged over and over again? Nashandra guided you to the throne, presumably so you can open it for her &#8211; but it&#8217;s not like she is capable of taking the giant&#8217;s kinship from you once you&#8217;re defeated. Kinship isn&#8217;t a physical thing. Does she want you to get inside the throne, or not? I can&#8217;t help but feel like there&#8217;s something missing here.<\/p>\n<p>8. The Herald seems to be freed of her purpose..but there&#8217;s a final twist.<\/p>\n<p>She is the one who brought you to Drangleic.<\/p>\n<p>9. As a final note, do you think linking the flame is done at the far fire when you start New Game Plus, or in the kiln?<\/p>\n<p>anyway<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d love to see these questions explored and answered in some sort of DLC &#8211; because I think there&#8217;s flat out not enough information yet to answer these questions.
