Gray Fox is Venom Snake – One of the most popular and widely discussed MGSV theories of all time. Created… by yours truly, PythonSelkan… And we’re honestly not shy to admit it, because what many fans DON’T know, is that if this particular theory ends up being INCORRECT, MGSV would ruin the long-established CANON in more ways than fans can even realize – which has always been the foundation, of what this Theory was built upon… In this video, we’ll be showing you why MGSV would ruin the canonical timeline, unless Venom Snake truly turns out to be Gray Fox… And why this has always been the most backed-up theory you will ever find, for MGSV. This is the Finale of MGSV’s Gray Fox is Venom Snake Theory.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a 2015 action-adventure stealth video game developed and published by Konami. Directed, written, and designed by Hideo Kojima, it is the ninth installment in the Metal Gear franchise, following Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, a stand-alone prologue released in 2014. Set in 1984, nine years after the events of Ground Zeroes, the story follows Venom Snake, as he ventures into Soviet-occupied Afghanistan and the Angola–Zaire border region to exact revenge on those who destroyed his Mother Base.

  1. First off, thank you for making 1.5 hours of metal gear content. I gotta say, everything makes sense… the parallelism between gray fox and raiden is there, and everything adds up. The theory of big boss of and gray fox actively switching faces with each other is also super fascinating and I think it’s right, and it would have been fun to see This theory backed up by a metal gear game that explores better those early games . It makes so much sense and it’s not far fetched at all. Thank you for finding how venom and gray fox could co-exist during those events, makes sense.

Now I have 2 wishes as a metal gear fan:

1 – Kojima watches this video and confirms this theory, would be awesome for all fans to find closure. It’s been an amazing journey to fantasize and theorize what kojima had in mind all along , but now we need answers.

2- Konami makes a game about the story of metal gear 1 and 2. And they hire you guys to make sure to retain the kojima style of cut scenes and editing without Kojima being there and to make sure they make something that blends well with Kojima’s vision and story without adding retcons. Honestly you guys would deserve this. You studied metal gear more than anyone and you would absolutely be a terrific asset in the team of an hypothetical MGS game without Kojima at the helm.

Thanks for doing what you do! Love you guys

  2. And if you're a fan of the series he gives you hints all through the damn game I actually found out pretty early in the game that it was just venom

  3. And I guess it could be possible because solid Snake call venom snake on fire this is actually canon in one of the old classic games so I guess it could be a possibility of why he's in a hole full suit

  4. I like the theory of Ishmael at the beginning of the game is the real big boss and venom is a body double

  5. This was a fascinating take I hadn't thought about. I always figured the reason Gray Fox wasn't in The Phantom Pain was because he was Big Boss' most loyal comrade. Big Boss and Ocelot kept him out of it because he wasn't involved with the Ground Zeroes incident and his loyalty was never in doubt, unlike Miller and Huey.

  6. YongYea honestly deserves to give an apology for all the stuff he said about you guys and your theory in the lead up to MGSV, you nailed it so much and he just quietly moved on after the game came out and your theories turned out to be accurate.

  7. REAL NAME

    Frank Jaeger

    ALSO KNOWN AS

Gray Fox, real name Frank Jaeger, was a mercenary and former agent of U.S. Special Forces Unit FOXHOUND. Originally a child soldier, Jaeger was the only operative in FOXHOUND to achieve the codename "Fox," the unit's highest commendation, and was decorated five times.[5]

Fox was Solid Snake's comrade-in-arms and friend during the Outer Heaven Uprising, but his loyalty to renegade commander Big Boss forced him into combat with Snake during the Zanzibar Land Disturbance. Left near death following an intense battle, his body was recovered, forcibly outfitted with a powered exoskeleton and subjected to experimental gene therapy. Fox later confronted Snake during the Shadow Moses Incident, in the guise of the Cyborg Ninja, before dying at the hands of Liquid Snake and Metal Gear REX.

  9. its an interesting theory but for it to be true you have to ignore Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 being cannon, Venom is the big boss that solid snake kills at the end of MG2, a game which Frank Jager is also in… venom was made to plug the plot hole of big boss/old snake still being alive in MSG4 despite being killed in MG2

  10. Honestly I think Konami is going down the retcon road. As much as this theory could work I think are going to start from "ground zero". MGS delta will be the new beginning for the franchise and its just a matter of how they are going to deal with the retcons. Will they tailor the series from MGS Delta and beyond to fit this Grey Fox theory and MGS V for example? I hope so but most likely the will change things to some sort of "reinterpretation" to give them distance from Kojima.

  11. Most people don't trust the game when it says Ismael is BB.
But the game also show that Ismael is BB (looking like BB, and only looking like Ismael only in the eyes of VS).

When VS looks to himself in the mirror, he have BB's face and he sees his former self. This can't be. A mirror show your reflect, so it should only show BB's face on VS one.
SO : when VS is looking at BB's face, all he sees is his former self. Ismael looks like his former self. But instead, it's the actual BB we see in the end.
There is only one another mirror at the end. And he sees himself as Demon Snake. This is perfectly normal, since he know now that the reflect of him is BB. He only sees BB as evil and then VS want to punch BB.

I like that VS is GF theory anyway, never though of that.

  12. The clown show is back! Every MGS game has discredited prior canon, the whole purpose of MGSV was Kojima metaphorically handing the canon to the fans, every fan has their own MGS universe/interpretation of events, the entire premise of this video is a complete waste of time.
