The reason you take less fall damage when naked is actually pretty clever and realistic.
Its a mechanic called
"Being Stoopid heavy"
More weight = Harsher and harder fall = More dmg

Best guess for the durability glitch is that the scythes have multiple hitboxes for each damage multiplier, which hit at the same time and apply more durability damage on big dudes, since they can be hit by more than one part of the swing beacause of their size

stripping down in ds 2 is real. i struggled on the smelter demon for so long, wasting human effigys. only to strip naked and beat it easily…
