“Gotta keep in shape!”

Xillia 1 is a totally different beast compared to X2, enemy counters are forced upon you and a lot of people really hate that fact.
But I’ve come around on the idea of playing around the bosses counter attacks and finding different and interesting ways of staying aggressive while also taking no damage.
Its fun but it totally takes some getting used too.

During Wingul and Presa you’ll notice I got hit right after I killed Presa and the battle ends. (This is why I included the question mark)

Jude has I believe has the easiest time dealing with enemy counters with Snap Pivot (as long as you learn your timings LOL)
So if you want to give Xillia 1 a fare shot, I”d say start with Jude until you feel comfortable with boss counters. 😀

  1. Great work on all of these! You're a lot better than I was when I first started on X1 lol. My favorite fights out of these were Hammerzamm and Wingul/Presa. I liked seeing how you use Jude's mobility to navigate the Hammerzamm fight and it was also cool to see you adapt to the enemy it called out which you probably weren't planning for. As for Wingul/Presa, your play around the linked enemies was immaculate and really fun to watch. Your targeting was also quite good, whether it was for mobility or just seeing what Presa is casting… good to see even if it's in a different game from when we talked about it 😉

also this Splash dodge at 10:52 was cool :O

  2. Boss counters might make Xillia 1 more annoying to play, but in exchange they make fights like these insanely fun to watch.

  3. Pretty nice run =03. I like the use of Mirage Blitz here(curses they nerfed it in X2 >=01) since I feel its a great arte that's underused in Xillia. Wingul & Presa was my favorite, the way you kept up the pressure on those two was really good =03.
