Holy crap Nomura has had his eyes on the prize of getting rid of Sora so that he could be saved… since the first Games Trailer… He even had to “Re Mind” us of this whole journey… so that Sora would have to be saved…

リクと戦うのモンストロじゃなくてネバーランドの方がかっこよかったみはあるね
でもそれだとすぐまたホロバで戦うからダメだったんだろうけど
今もなお終わるどころか、つい先日新キャラが発表されたし、風呂敷は広げられ続けるまま…。いつ畳むんだこれ。
これFFXについてきたやつだっけ？

The fact that the dark premise of this trailer ended up extremely relevant and accurate later on..
初代からディズニーキャッスルのフィールドグラフィックあったんだ。
結局実装はIIからになったけど。
それ以外の構想はほぼ固まってたんだな。
こういう未公開pvとかまじ好き
もうストーリが複雑すぎてこのpvにすら伏線あるんじゃないかと思えてきた笑

OMG that gave me goosebumps sigh the memories..😏♥️
This trailer right here captures everything the original Kingdom Hearts had; dark music that created a mysterious/terrifying atmosphere in combat, the keyblade as something truly important that only a few people have being able to wield, a story that was actually understandable given that the whole focus was Sora trying to find his friends, and the best and only villain to actually accomplish his goal. Sadly, things turned south really freaking fast once the best people in Square started to leave and Nomura was left rampant to soil the whole franchise into the whole mess we have today.
Up to the point of KH2, the series had a more serious tone to it, Sora was kind of a goof, but not to the point of being a straight up moron like they made him seem in DDD and forward,. The amount of cheesiness used is also ridiculous, Sora keeps mentioning his friends every five seconds as if he has some self esteem issues, the only time Sora mentions “my friends are my power” in the first time is when he’s about to fight Riku with the aid of his new friends.
Overall, it would’ve been better if the franchise had ended with KH2 and made KH3 the story of Roxas in the organization to give people info on who he was and how he got redemption at the end of the game now living in destiny islands inside Sora. It is a shame that such a great franchise got bastardized to the point of just being a clustered with nonsense and used as a mobile game cash cow, but hey, at least Nomura can keep shoving Final Fantsy versus XIII with every chance he can.

初代遊んでた当初に友人宅で見て、「条件満たせば王様の城いけるんだ！」とか「ディスティニーアイランドの扉も鍵閉められるのか！」とか、勘違いしてワクワクしてましたね……
