I wish you did the Spectacular Spider-Man theme in the beginning instead.
Wonder if they’ll be Peter Parker or Miles Morales skippable mini games? I’m all for that sort of thing. Because as you said, diving into there lives really adds character development immersion. And harmless variety. Or what would be this game’s stealth parts like with MJ and Miles if we were to get more playable characters? 🤔 I do believe we’ll physically see JJ Jamison as well. This is super exciting. This game is really emphasizing Peter and Miles are the forefront. That concept alone seems like a double in story scope. And I cannot wait to see how it entails. I actually they’ll give a release date, and preorder details when we finally see gameplay. If I’m wrong I’m wrong. But come PlayStation Showcase something huge will come of this game. Fans are gonna eat good when info bombs drops. By the time Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse hits, we’ll see Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in action you can easily see that cross buildup.

I'm so bummed that I couldn't get my hands on this comic. I went to both of my local comic shops on Saturday and Marvel didn't send it to either of them. Apparently to get the free Spider-Man 2 comic the shops had to have ordered a LOT of Marvel books. It's really stupid that just because the shops near me are smaller they don't get any stock for that. The guys who run the shops were bummed too.

That intro hit different for some reason
Personally, i think he’ll be teaching in Queens at midtown high and not ESU. He’s staying in queens, for one. And i can totally see them going the route of giving us more back story on Peter this way, I’m sure we’ll see something about how he got his powers and start as spidey if they make him a teacher at midtown. Plus it lines up with the comics, granted this universe isn’t one to one with comics but it makes sense.
If he were looking to teach in the city, i don’t think MJ would’ve mentioned any type of conflict staying in queens would have for her working in the city.

Seeing Peter as a teacher and Miles attending at ESU would be interesting. Maybe there could be a mentor/mentee dynamic going on outside of Spidey stuff.

I guess the game is giving us the new suits from the get go. Good to see my favorite version of Spiderman is doing better than his 616 counterpart.
I love how the prequel comic potentially sets up a bigger emphasis on Peter/Miles' civilian lives being at the forefront of Spider-Man 2's story. I hope this also hints that we can freeroam and generally do more activities (side jobs, science and music minigames) outside the costumes. Which would make switching back into the superhero gameplay all the more satisfying imo.

One of the reasons why I'm so excited for Marvel Spider-Man 2 is purely just because I love your intros for Spider-Man news. Makes me all nostalgic and takes me back to when news was coming out about the first Spider-Man PS4 game.
