In my Son of Sparda run I bustered Proto angelo mid air, after surviving that I proceeded to finish him off with a single slash.
As far as tanky DMD enemies in DMCV, I think Empusa Queen might be even worse than Behemoth. It has a ton of HP even without the chain armor mechanic.
Behemoth does win out in the "worst" competition though, because it has some BS hitboxes
– Does a video about DMC
– Uses NMH music
– Has Ryougi Shiki as profile picture and banner
Subbed. 100%. My man.
Honestly dmc 2 has to take this one I’m very surprised u didn’t talk about it
This was a great review of the 4 main DMC games hardest difficulty! I always found it weird that they never made a devil may cry 2 and totally didn't own a copy as a kid
DMC 3
I think DMC3 did it the best. I played it, he gets f*cking impaled!
Playing virgil on dmc 4 is the greatest thing ever I’ve a ranked every mission and no matter how a hard I tried I couldn’t do that with Dante and Nero due to virgil dmc 4 has my fav with Dante must die mode
Imo I feel like what they can experiment with on the next dmc game is do what ninja gaiden black did and have unique enemies only show up on harder difficulties.
Keep the stylish formula they have been doing for a long time now but have more enemy variety for engagements.
The thing about dmc5 enemies is that weapons actually have “hidden” mechanics that make you exploit certain enemies in different ways, but you have to figure them out. Judechas, for example, are a joke if you are using electric attacks with cerberus, because it stuns them and lets you do a real impact attack on them or just style on their ass. DMD for DMCV is by far the most fun because it meshes so well with every characters moveset (specially Dante who bodies the WHOLE GAME, he just requires for game knowledge and skill)
4 and 5 are my favorites.
Chimeras are supposed to be turned off with gunfire which I dindnt see you use with Dante.
Dante has charged shots as well.
But anywhore DMC4 has the most intricate Dante so if you cant get actually with him then yes you will have a bad time
So for the sake of preservation and from an informative standpoint
DMC2’s DMD is… rough. To put it bluntly. I like DMC2, it was my first so im probably biased, but DMD is hard for the wrong reasons.
-right off the bat you only deal like half your normal damage.
-enemy health is set ridiculously high, i dont know the exact percentage increase. But certain enemies like Golems become even more annoying because the health coupled with DT means they can just regenerate everything unless you focus them down.
-enemy damage doesnt really change, they hit “harder” but as is standard for DMC2 nothing is really a threat. Certain boss attacks will actually hurt but theres like… 3 worth worrying about.
-enemy DT is a joke. Yes they get stagger resistance and its absurdly high, but it doesnt actually affect anything outside of that like in DMC3. No health increase, no damage increase, it just becomes tedious by the end.
-a slight level of boss remixing. Everybody knows about the infested chopper, that fight is even more boring on DMD. What i dont see people talking about is Lucia’s fish boss being invisible THE WHOLE FIGHT, thus not allowing you to lock on. And with how dogshit the water movement is and how fast he moves, you WONT be hitting him. He is NOT constantly invisible on hard and normal, he’ll become visible after a set amount of time below DMD. It doesnt make the fight better, but at least you can lock on with DT and just burst him down with Lucia’s ranged attack.
Despair Embodied, dante’s final boss. Gets zero attack intervals. The one boss i believe would be worth bringing back is just made awful by the fact he gets to just spam his attacks and you’re with very little to do aside from shoot at him when he’s doing one of his air attacks. The boss is fun on normal, in my honest opinion. On DMD, like everything else, its an absolute slog and i hate it.
All the Arius fights are dogshit shit too. The secretaries being given stagger resistance only pushes you to get to critical health, use majin form, and spam devil stars to stay in it. Provided they dont combo you to death trying to get to that point.
Theres more. But i’ve already made a wall of text.
TL;DR. DMC2 DMD sucks, this coming from somebody who genuinely loves the game.
14:05 lmao
Dmc4 was so rushed that dante wasn't Even planned to be in the Game, that's why it feels so out of place in those missions
Dmc 2 be like. Guns. Just use guns.
Dmc3 DMD (not the special edition) was hell.
You seem to have forgotten the best game in the series DMC2 in this video. No hard feelings, but I am very disappointed that you didn’t rank such a fantastic sequel.
The big issue with DMD is that it's clearly designed around the hyper-aggressive, old school arcade principles of DMC1 but dropped into games that absolutely weren't made to be played like that. I think a better DMD for the current style of games would give enemies massive damage resistance that fades away as you style up, forcing you to puzzle out a stylish way to handle each encounter.
14:08 I understood that reference
Honestly Dmc3 was a masterpiece in my opinion when I finished Dante must Die in Dmc3 the satisfaction I felt was immeasurable.
tbh I only clicked because of your name and pfp, but I actually really enjoyed the video, made me want to play dmc again, great work
I beat DMC 1 on DMD and S-ranked 5 on DMD . I gave up in DMC3 after the second fight with Vergil, when the game starts throwing bullshit enemies, and DMC 4 was over on the glass boss fight. Mostly because I do not like DMC4 that much. I remember it took me about 200 attempts to beat Mundus. I actually used infinite yellow orbs because I did not want to repeat the first phase every time I lost all of the orbs.
P.S. For Judecca, Lightning AoE attack+real impact-anything with Cavaliere in the air. It deletes them. As for Nero, it is Buster Arm spam. As for V, no real strategy, just spam Nightmare whenever you can.
We humans were created all because of this one person, Lucifer. Our sins were born from him.
