i7 860 2,80 ghz 8gb ram gtx 970 g1 best g1 version lucky higher then there highest promest with 20% medium auto settings it max out leave20 mb gpu and i lower reflection shadow and upp texture and model quality to high an motion blur off looks fantastik

Tonight after 8 patches i tried running this game on my 1060
Many glitches were fixed, but many remain
Many features were repaired, but many remain
We were promised that an rx580 would get 58 average fps……. We Were Lied to

I have just finished Zero Dawn and during whole game play never came to my mind there is something wrong with overall performance. I had average 50 fps in zero dawn benchmark (with RX570), I had no reason to watch it all the time.
I’ve been playing this game on 4K Low settings on my TV and it’s stunning! I think that this port will keep good looking even years later.
I only started playing this today after patch 1.10 dropped, things seem better than in this video.
DF fam, are there any plans to revisit this PC port and speak to the performance after the slew of patches it received over the months? I've been interested in jumping in and I would love the DF perspective on improvements. 🙂

On a gtx1060 6gb + i5 4690 + 8gb the performance hit vs original is as follows with latest patch 1.10
DF Settings= -10.3% (61fps)
DF Settings (Model Quality=High, Clouds=Medium)= -5.9% (64fps)
DF Settings (Model Quality=Medium, Clouds=Medium)= -1.5% (67fps)
Original= 0% (68fps)

you only notice the issues when you compare it with something , while playing I have no complaints
Performance is disappointing. I should be able to play this game at locked 60 fps medium-high settings with my gtx 970 and it's not even close. It's a 2017 game for god's sake

1.10 update makes the game amazing now even for mid range pc owners.
Wait this uses more than 10gb vram?? How does the 3080 run this?
i have graphics fog/flashing issues right at the begining with my rx6800, no way to fix. it runs fine on my 1080.

alex in his movie says that you should force the AF function of the game in driver, but in game which settings should you set?
because you can't turn it off completely in game!
Would love to know what if anything has been fixed/improved, especially the AO setting, would rather not lose performance for worse visual quality.

The worst thing is that if you are running (Shift Key), the aim with the bow, and want to keep on running, you have to press Shift AGAIN. Every f*cking game can handle this but in this game, you have to press Shift every 5 seconds. Annoying.
After playing RDR2, most games are disappointing…

I get around 60-80% GPU utilization in the first 2/3 part of the benchmark with a Ryzen 5 3600 (x570 mb) + RTX 3080 even with PCIe x16 4.0 (26.23 GB/s in 3DMark PCI Express feature test). Something is still not right.
It was a good port.. Just a bit lot of crashes until first patches
This has to be the 1060 3gb, the 6gb version is more or less on par with the RX 580 8gb

I have noticed occasional stutters even when the GPU isn't fully utilized.

I played HZD on my PS4 Pro and then loaned the game to somebody — I never got it back. Last year I bought the Steam version for my RTX2070 PC and a 4K Samsung TV. I was blown away. I recently bought an Alienware R11 Intel Core i7, RTX3080 PC and it's even better looking. I'm almost finished with my 3rd playthrough and the game is as fascinating as ever and I only had 1 crash during a thunderstorm when the lights flickered. Other than that the game has played flawlessly on all maxed-out settings. I never once noticed any of the problems noted in the above video like stuttering or inconsistent frame rates or any kind of Matrix-like deja-vu inconsistencies. I guess I just was too into the game to be concerned by the tech details that drive easily obsessed people insane. 😜
Got this same issue with Black Ops III and nothing I do fixes it. And my PC is about as high end as it gets. It ruins the game
I had the problem with PCI-E bandwidth, mine was running at like 4x lanes on 3440x1440p on a 2080ti, I was getting like 40 frames and was so confused, till I pulled up GPU-Z and saw the bus interface running whatever it was, but was capable of 16x, was the strangest thing I've ever seen and it was only with horizon zero dawn, kinda glad to see others have had this issue too so I know it wasn't hardware problems! Pheew!
the game is fine, for real though, your pc must be having overheating issues or covid19 problems idk, get a new one
The pop in ruins this game, and the fact that it happens so close is even worst, I can't play a game with shit like that

Disappointing port? I don't think so at all. I like much better then the console version.
I had the same stutters mentioned due to PCI-E x8 using a 6600xt but I'm stuck with it until I upgrade to a x16 capable mobo. I managed to fix these issues completely by turning Shadows down from Ultra to High on 1080p so I am guessing it is something to do that pushing it over the edge… not sure. Even textures from ultra to high didn't make the difference and I can keep it maxed now.
They should fix it right away buggy as hell I want to play it so badly though very disappointing
