Btw in my first game in prepare to die edition I kept fighting asylum demon for 5 hours with the broken sword hilt and dropped the game for 2 years

iam not exagerating here, i did the same thing with the skeletons, even went deep down the catacombs… after that i went to the "ghosts" not gonna say more… so after 25 HOURS gameplay time, i had to look up the cliff sidewalk, online..
and that wasnt even the worst part of my first playthrough, but that said, i absolutely love the memories of my first run
Literally when I was younger I played Dark Souls for the first time, got stuck on skeletons and immediately returned the game. Years later and I’ve beaten very single souls game 😂

yeah when I first played I avoided the Skeletons.
but I suicide ran to grab all the shit in that grave yard.
you can try and search through that place but NEVER rest at any of the bonfires or else you are stuck down there if your health or dodging isn't up for the Wheeler skeletons.

I love Dark Souls 1, but firelink shrine actually has some awful design. I've heard people say that the level design is supposed to lead you to the bridge to undead Berg, but that's some b*******. I've seen so many new players try this game and at least 90% of them go to the graveyard. The level design clearly leads you to the graveyard. The rest of the game. Fantastic! Those first few moments outside of the asylum terrible
