Ok, this is one of the most fun VR games I’ve played yet.

  1. I'm sure there's pre-planned recordings for next week, but I would fully apreciate more episodes of this if the chance presents itself! I'm charmed, and I've got no plans to own VR equipment anytime soon, unfortunately

  2. I instantly love both little robot friend and the soundtrack. This is welcome for a one off.

  3. head tilts are fine, as long as they feel natural and are well-read by the vr. after all, the vr is meant to have you looking around.
I hope you decide to make this a series, as I want to see you play more of this adorable game.

  4. I was not ready for this absolute preciousness please play more Dan! Your head movements aren't disorienting at all, and that's from a guy who suffers constant, moderate vertigo. Worry less and enjoy your game!

  5. First Quill, Now Astrobot. I see VR is starting to gain it’s own roster of memorable Mascots! I hope these kind of amazing experiences together. (Who knows maybe one day we’ll have ur own VR Smash Bros style game XD)

  6. The way Dan primes the controller to receive the little fellas, its too cute, my bitter heart can't handle it

  7. This game cost me my. shins. Kept bumping into the table while looking for the little robots. Good times, who needs shins?

  8. Disregarding the very obvious inspiration, this game is like collecting smurfs.

  9. I don't know why I felt very uncomfortable watching that head mother-ship thing with a bunch of cute little Astrobot on it.
Maybe something similar to that fear of tiny holes thing?

  10. This is so incredibly precious! Can we please get more of this? Forr all those of us who don't have a VR setup, pretty please?

  11. I really liked it. I loved how you can really see what you're looking at with the VR movement, and the imagined Dan trying to scoot his (non-rotating) chair around or peeking around corners made it extra cute. (Especially with the imagined giggling Carrie for seeing Dan trying to scoot, headbutt, stand-up-and-sit-down without the context of the game)

I wouldn't mind seeing more of this game and would love to see more VR games in general. Your setup is working really well and the VR games are really fun and different (variation, yay!)

Also, definite kudos for your excellent robot shooting skills.

  12. Games like this make me both want to buy PSVR but also question whether this needed to be an exclusive.

  13. This is the first time playing or watching VR that I got a bit disorientated! Something about the movement of the "camera", I think.
    Super cute game though!

  14. This game is cute, how about I suggest another cute game, if you haven't already played it.
It's called A Hat in Time, it's a platformer game that you and/or Carrie would absolutely fall in love with.

  15. I can see so many good game design decisions going on here and it is no wonder this game is good. For example, one of the biggest issues I see with VR games is the answer to the question "Does it need to be in VR to work?". And for this game, the answer is a resounding 'Yes!". The decision to keep the perspective the way it is, being able to peek around corners, the double jump laser going all the way to the floor so you never lose a sense of positioning but also having a real function in destroying enemies, and making the camera auto move forward after a point, all lead to a good VR only experience. Especially, seeing your own controller in game and seeing the little characters interact with it, is a great decision and adds to immersion instead of taking away from it. This game understands that immersion is not about removing the real world entirely. It understands that VR needs to be a connection between worlds, instead of just a one way portal.

  16. I advise you when you play this again to look everywhere and always look behind you, left, right all the way above you, there is stuff everywhere. I would love to see you play more, every single level is special in some way.

  17. Its funny I always recommend this game but many gamers put it to the side not realizing what they are missing out on. Its a little bit depressing to be honest haha. This game would chear anyone up immediately its so precious as you say.
