You’re not alone John, I’m very much enjoying High on Life and based on user score / usage data – lots of others are too……I can see the humour being hugely hit or miss though.
38:26 – Again with the middling hardware and "ultra" settings. Guys, come on, like many of us told you on Twitter: The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update runs bad regardless of settings with any RT setting on. The game runs bad with 4K Ultra Performance DLSS, which is essentially 720p, in the LOW Preset just with RT GI on a 10900k paried with an RTX 3080. This is NOT about "ultra" settings or unjustified user expectations.
I feel like Death Stranding is a bit too weird and artsy for a big blockbuster adaptation. If they manage to get somebody like David Cronenberg or Alex Garland to direct it might work, but then it won't bring in the big bucks.
Not sure why people apparently should't do "projected benchmarks" in advance. AMD themselves gave the 1.5x and up to 1.7x multipliers and it is also them who didn't provide any meaningful performance comparisons. Therefore, questions about performance comparisons were on everyone's minds and someone had to do these, come on 😉

To be honest, at this point most AAA games still look really good at lower settings.
As for the Linus thing I think AMD does have gains in power/performance
and definitely the size of the unit would be better for a smoller formfacta

The Aston Martin was a Toyota iq. The car did exactly what Aston Martin needed it to. It was something about complying with gas mileage in some Europe or something like that. Also, I believe Linus's reason for going 7900xtx VS 4090 was because of size and power usage. I think he will use it to replace his current card in a small itx case or in his server room, which he also has limited space for a gpu

I rather Spiderman 2 play like GTA5 where you swap between players than play as co-op, because Im greedy. I want to play as Spiderman, Miles Morales, and Venom. All for myself and none of the sharing.
I think why Linus is going AMD is just because he has been on NVIDIA for like, ever and so the idea is to just go AMD once to just experience if it's good or not, if driver concerns are just a thing of the past now or if it's still real. He's talking about it in his videos, without ever having given AMD a shot even, so the idea is to just being able to properly assess AMD, personally.

Death Stranding movie? I hope Kojima won't write the script. 😢 I'm not a big fan of his writing, because I think the way he depicts women is weird… A few years ago, I would not have minded (and I didn't mind), but now I do.
Im mad at CDPR because the game literally no longer works for me, i get a crash to desktop after the loading screens no matter if it's a new save or an old one. I'm mad because I was enjoying the game activlely and now I just cant play it in its current state, and with a 3070! CDPR have done all of these "updates" with no alternatives for existing customers.

My biggest nerdy pet peeve ever are people that act like the games don't have technical problems on their personal systems, going all the way back to far cry 3 and my buddy telling me he doesn't think it's screen tearing on his 360… Like it fucking is though your just dumb or blind or both!!!
Ultra settings should max out the current halo GPU. Thats why it is ultra and not high!
