  1. Im still thinking to this day that dark souls 2 has better pvp than the other games
The amount of stuff that you could do with skill was very high
Gosh I missed this game so much

  2. Can I play safely or is too much risky play online? (For the hackers)

  3. Stanceswap, quickrolls, animation cancels, pivot backstabs, tracked jumping attacks, recovery cancels, faster attacks, faster backstabs (or instant), plunge attack recovery cancel, phantom blocks and attacking while blocking, this game has a lot of useful hidden and advanced tecniques for the pvp compared with any of the other souls series, also i miss a bit the stamina management even if the combat of the game was slow because of that.

  4. best magic system (especially hexes), best weapon variety, more created builds than any soulsborne game, best covenants especially covenant of champions (higher difficulty level), every NG+ are different not the same thing over and over again, and best bow builds. there are more but the most important thing that DS2 have that the others don't have, DS2 is tried to do something different (this is very important) but sadly lots of soulsborne players didn't acept it. DS2 is not a perfect game but the devs introduced lots of great ideas in this game especially in pvp. I loved this game.

  5. Ppl got the nerve to hate in elden ring pvp when this looks atrocious lol. In truth I haven't played it I'm just judging by it's looks. Silly I know.

  6. The fact that back steps actually had iFrames really sold the PvP for me in this game. Not only was it stylish, but it was useful, whereas in all the other games, it pretty much only stylish

  7. This was a great game with imo the best mancy of the series and bows were actually clutch in a fight 😌

  8. Best pvp in the series. Much more thoughtful and considered. Plus you could invade anyone. Don't like being invaded? Burn an effigy at the cost of not being able to summon.

  9. ds2 pyromancy spells were dope.hopefully er will get similar ones..fire dance was a favorite for me but didnt make it to ds3
    ..

  10. All I've been wanting for months now. I will probably never bother with ER PvP again and instead stick with II like I have been until it went offline 🙃

  11. i have a question for everyone here. So i bought elden ring on the day it came out played ds1 and 3 before that but i didnt have money at the time so i had to get it from steamunloacked. Now the question is: Should i buy Ds2 in all of its glory or wait for the ER dlc and buy that instead?

  12. 10 reasons DS2 has better PVP than the others.

1: It's not backstab centric like DS1. I have a friend who played like a thousand+ hours of just DS1's PVP and was REALLY good at it, like, "I'm going to humiliate this well known streamer/youtuber by accident" good, and at one point I got them to admit that "If you're doing something that isn't a backstab, setting up a backstab, or avoiding getting backstabbed, you shouldn't be doing it".

2: It doesn't have oneshot combos like DS3 and ER.
3: Stamina management is still a thing for people who don't invest heavily in it.

4: Weight gradually slows your character's movement and rolls down (I think in brackets of 10%, but it's been a while), meaning that you actually make trade offs for threading the needle before you're fatrolling, such as having a harder time chasing/escaping.

5: Up until ER, DS2 had the highest amount of build variety period.
6: DS2 has the best balance between the builds (you can make pretty much any weapon into a viable PVP or PVE weapon if you know how, bless Mundane).
7: Backsteps are actually useful (arguably too useful).
8: Best PVP covenants by a mile. Cosmetic rewards for having a good W/L record, access to 6(?) maps that are all very different (idk I haven't actually done the Blue Sentinels arenas), and Ratbros being absolute degenerates and pulling random people into THEIR worlds is an awesome reversal. Also the arenas were in the base game instead of being behind a DLC paywall like DS1, DS3, and almost certainly ER, so no fragmenting the playerbase through DLC access.

9: PVP is on by default and has to be turned off at a bonfire (as well as turning off for 30 minutes when the area's boss is beaten, and the timer only counts down while you're actively IN the area), as well as allowing solo invasions to happen to everyone by default (from BB onward invasions were tuned towards prioritizing people who have ally phantoms in the world, which is why ganksquads have been a problem in BB onward but DS2's never had anywhere NEAR as a much of an issue with it).

Also PVP (and NPC invaders IIRC) still works in areas where you've beaten the bosses, which means people who like having invaders come into their world and mess with them aren't punished for progressing through the game (and also you don't lose out on drops from NPC invaders).

10: Poise is the most balanced its ever been. Actually useful and pretty intuitive without being absolutely degenerate like DS1 (and ER in some other ways but we'll see how patches address continue to address it). ER MIGHT end up in a better place than DS2 on the poise front, we'll see.

Bonus: DS2 also does something smart where it gives you HP any time you raise a stat, and raising the dedicated HP stat means you just get even more HP on top of that. This means that it's almost impossible to be oneshot if you're in the level range you should be for a given area, even if you're not touching your HP stat at all, and it also means that people who want to get REALLY beefy can become proper tanks too.

  13. God that last fight was rough to watch ngl. Youghs spear has an awesome moveset and that dude just poked. Sadge.

  14. I love ds2 but imo ds1 has the highest skill ceiling and most rewarding gameplay when you get good at it and have good opponents to fight

  15. Man I do love some DS2 but the matchmaking system is still pretty broken. You know the good ol soulring trick
