  1. Am I the only one who actually thinks that a subscription based game is better? All of the packs together cost so much, and I only get to play once in a while, and I know a lot of people are like this, we play for 12 hours straight for a day and then leave the game for a couple months. So to be able to only pay for the subscription whenever I do play sounds more affordable to then to buy all the packs I can afford at once and not really getting my money's worth because I don't have enough time to play. I also believe, that if I had the ability to play the full game with all the packs I can't afford, it would push me to play more often and inturn I get more out of the money spent on a subscription.
It's like, I pay monthly for Spotify and Netflix, because I like the convince to be able to stream the latest content asps without buying every title individually

  2. What annoys me about new sims games is they don't come out with the basic packs in them, like why do we constantly have to buy stuff like seasons or pets each time, those should be part of the BASE package.

  3. I'm hoping they approach their dlc the same way Minecraft does. Where one person hosts the Sims world, and the others play in that host world. That means only one person needs the dlc for ppl to play with it, but only in that person's games.

  4. oh god i never considered a subscription based model. i can see that working really well for them and really bad for us. i remember as a kid wanting a club penguin subscription so badly, but my parents would never spend money on something like that, so i got three months every year or so when i could get my hands on a gift card, and it made the playing experience really rough

  5. I LOVE that you spent the time to discuss people's concerns. You explained everything so well, and I hope everyone sees this video before judging the game YEARS before it's even released.

  6. I wonder if the EA builds in the new game will get even scarier now that they'll have to worry about cross-platform compatibility, especially mobile 😬

  7. noooooo we have to wait an entire dacadee? wth imagine what we would look like imagine😭💀

  8. 11:05 Why do you think they do that? Free and available on all platforms. To maximize the amount of people who can enjoy their creative endeavor? It's money. To get more people to wade in to their micro transaction cesspool. So yes, you're right. I'm certain that's the route The Sims is going for.

The cross platform idea is great. It's great for killing the games potential. It's like me asking you to draw something for me on a great canvas, but you also need to make the drawing fit and make sense on this stamp that I have. Whatever you come up with for the canvas painting, it will be effected negatively in a way it wouldn't have been if you didn't need to take fitting it onto a stamp into account.

  9. I hear the word "mobile" and I cringe. We all know that no one liked Google Stadia, but they keep trying to sell us this cloud-based gaming crap. But this was inevitable. It's EA after all.

  10. well i would just be happy to see if the packs are cross-platform, since they are implying you can play the same world on different screens. after buying all of the packs on the xbox, and none of them being transferable to PC so i have to buy all of them over again (like 800+ dollars basically), thats all i ask for.

  11. I'm so excited for the Sims 5, but I think the games looks really good for just a beta. The Sims has moved so much in the past years and I'm really happy.

  12. The only thing I will say about the Paralives thing is this. Paralives announced that they would be adding curved walls to the game for unique builds. Not too long after, Sims 4 has curved walls. Thats only one example. EA is not a good company and you can see that with Sims alone. Its a big reason ive stopped supporting EA and playing the Sims. Paralives seems like its trying to bring originality, but the creator even said that they cant keep announcing things for Paralives as their original content/ideas keep ending up in Sims after announcement. Imo, I am just going to wait for Paralives and support an Indie developer trying to create a new style, rather than support a massive corperation notorious for unoriginal and broken content as well as a toxic work environment.

  13. Will it be like Sims 2 when you can control their movements instead of tapping on a device so they would walk over to it?

  14. Forks would be even more boring than batuu, considering we already have a similar town.

  15. eso does the monthly sub for all dlc but you can also get just one dlc if you want to. I wonder if they'll go like that

  16. Kayla’s room is so cute and pink but with her sweater omg it’s and ascetic

  17. God I feel old i can't believe ill be buying the sims all over again for the 5th time

  18. I hate how realistic it looks. Like it looks like one of those 'design a living room' game and not like a game like sims

I hope it's not gonna be a paid subscription

  19. Thanks for your thoughts on this livestream Kayla. I suspect they will attempt a subscription model for Sims 5 and later. Online gameplay doesn't appeal to me, and I hope besides playing with others is the only reason to have it besides the other online features we have now.
