  1. Your 'Heat from Rep' rap made me laugh so damn hard! So when will you release your first album?

  2. He's right, the game is clunky, weapons basically suck, not enough explosives and they aren't powerful enough. I added that last one. Keybinds I don't care about. It's a fun game for a console game but it's no where near PC game standards.

  3. This game has some good moments, and then some ANNOYING GAME MECHANICS, such as movement restriction. Every-time you walk with someone or come close to a job giver it's as if the model forgets how to walk. Then there's moments when you try to climb up, but instead roll away. When you poor in gas you can't look behind (because of reasons). Sometimes with full bar of stamina, you run at snail's pace, then have to re-smash the shift key to run faster. I tried to throw a simple stone once, only to accidentally throw a smoke bomb, giving myself away (they look the same). Then there's the bike problem. Every-time you stop at an outpost, even if it's far away from the entrance, the nps still run towards you because they heard the bike. So there goes element of surprise out of the window – every single time. Whenever I'm in a camp, ( no jobs available ) – As soon as I leave, "Hey Deek, I have job for you." I mean wtf, could they not given these things together and you decided which to do first. Then there's also this listen TO ME TALK NOW, despite busy in combat and try to not die – but whatever her face, needs to tell me what a good person I am.

If you can manage to go through all this bad game mechanics, it's fun to play yes.

  4. About the shooting – it's simply not true that you get a headshot every time. It's totally random as long as you don't aim long enough. Like real life aiming.
You can't bind keys here for immersion. The coding for keybinding takes like 10 minutes – it's not lazy programming – it's a decision. They want you to fiddle around in your pockets to grab that attractor and thats amazing. Just played the game and for me a 10/10.
Also the game decides at what time of the day you do certain missions because it tells a story. I like and also hate this "feature" but it exists for a good reason.
And yeh the stealth is just bad.
Also yes, there are some immersion breakers and I don't like that too. BUT that are a few minor immersions breakers in a fantastically immersive game.

Also you didn't mention the great dificulty scale with the different zombie types etc. which makes the game shine.
I'm a bit upset to be honest. I nearly didn't buy this and I only bought this now and not months ago because of you. You make it sound very bad somehow even though it is a 7/10.
Don't get me wrong, for me you're the best reviewer ever, but not here.
I mean.. C'mon, if you really didn't use fast travelling, you cruised around for at least 10-20 hours; why on earth does it sound as if this game is bad?

  5. I'm quite enjoying this game at the moment (playing on PS4) but it's not as open world as it appears. When not in a mission you can free roam anywhere you like but doing a mission you're restricted by "mission zones" and as such, the game will only allow you to roam within a certain area. That really shits me off and breaks immersion for me.

  6. as soon as you said rep the first time, i was praying you would lead into playing that fucking song

  7. The unavoidable data collection from SOE is insane! As soon as I saw you cannot opt out of it, I closed the program, and refunded. What an absolutely Orwellian level of intrusion! No one should buy Sony games, with practices like these.

Aside from that, I found the game incredibly boring, when I played it later, on my daughter's PS4.

  8. The aiming looks terrible.
    The camera angles look terrible.
Should have stopped watching at "ported game".
    Lmao.

  9. It's got just enough to keep you playing, but when your character; homo sapiens, a human being, can't even jump one inch off the ground, and the game says "you can't go this way right now", you know it's all just a pile of contrived, rail-roady shite.

  10. OF COURSE WHEN YOU ARE AIMING NEAR ZOMBIES ARE A SURE HIT – YOU FORGOT IT IS A PORT AND CONTROLLERS ARE SHAITTT SO THEI DID THAT TO HELP THE CONSOLE GUYS ENJOY THE GAME.

  11. Hmm, I guess they patched the issues.

Normally I love Mack's reviews but this one is unhelpful in 2022. In the last three months I've played this, I did not experience any of these bugs or issues.

I don't use W-A-S-D and never had a problem with rebinding my weird RightMouse-G-H-J set up. At least on hard setting, the bullet-magnetism is not there either.

The moral of the story is don't ever play a game until it's had a month or two to get patched.

  12. Bro , buy a xbox series controller if you have problems with binding keys

  13. I felt this review is way to nick picky lol
It's like going into red dead redemption and wanting a Lambo instead of a horse you know haha makes no sense. Plus I've played this on release and If you were complaining then I would of said fair play but I bought it on pc when it came out on there. Been running it on a rtx 2060 with an i5 9th gen and had no issues on high settings. No frame drops no issues with key binds or controller, no visual issues other then a random deer getting stuck in my bike after running it over lol.

I get everyone's experience is different but half the stuff in this review is just rubbish like immersion how can you not be immersed in this game.

  14. You are basically Daryl from TWD. If they could have afforded him like Death Stranding team did.

  15. Thanks, this is on sale now on steam (50% off , 4/14/2022). I will wait for Sony to hopefully revisit and fix the issues, or for a 70% discount or better in its current state.

  16. As a biker IRL, this game is perfect for me. Can't remember the last game that sucked me in this badly, but I'm on day 4 now of playing this, to the exclusion of almost all else.

It's also far bigger than I ever imagined. I thought I was almost done with the story, only to find out I was very far from it. Think I had that feeling with RDR 2. If it's a very good game, it's the best feeling in the world.

  17. … plus how the cut scenes do not match your character's actual look and weapon he used just a second ago…. it's a clear evidence to me that it can't be a good game, if they still do not pay attention to this nowadays (and yesterdays) very common detail, because it ruins the immersion as well if you don't. Every game that allows alterations of character appearances makes sure the characters in scenes look exactly the players' characters. But Bendgames must have thought it could, well, bend it back to like it was 20 years ago. 'Bend games!' Nomen est omen. Nooo-gooo.

And how I'm so sick of these would-be open-world developers taking you by the hand and bossing you around all the time, thinking you're as stupid as they must be if they still think this kind of paternalism is challenging enough for a player. Every two minutes the game yells at you: 'Here, you eejit, you have to go this way and then that way, do this and then do that… ' The whole kerfuffle reminded me of RDR2. Unplayable after a while. Open world! Shit on this crap! As linear as Call of Duty. CoD is more open than most open world titles today, at least they don't pretend to be open world and therefore are more honest, at least they don't raise false expectations. Today's mission designs are just atrocious. Programmed by morons for morons. There's no other explanation.
