The annual Return to Drangleic event starts tomorrow February 28th and goes until March 14th, which is actually my birthday so that works well lol. I’ve simplified my DS2 mods a bit. This is the Scholar of the Second Sin Visual Mod. Powered by DS2LightingEngine, it features upgraded textures, parallax occlusion mapping additions, dynamic shadows added, big lighting tweaks to every area. Development is ongoing for it, so expect many updates. #darksouls2 #returntodrangleic #ds2 #ds2lightingengine #ds2sotfs

Very cool thanks
whenever they get seamless coop working on Dark Souls 2, this is the mod I’m using for the visuals.
I get black sky everytime i install the lighting engine. Help
Is there a way to make the character shadow smaller or turn it off when you hold a troch ? It is very distracting and moves around a lot.
Thank you for your work! I’ve just finished ds2 using the lightning engine!
might be a stupid question but does this only work for SOTFS?
Wow this was amazing! 11/10!
Nice, except the awful exaggerated DOF effect.
Thank you for your work on my favorite From Software game ! Since it's only a graphic mod, can it be combined with the Bearer of the Curse or will there be overlap in files that will prevent them from working together ?
Great work dude.
The simplification of putting all your DS2 upgrades into one mod is an incredible idea and it makes it so much more user friendly, nice.
I want to say thank you as well. Your contribution to the modding community and yt-videos made me play DS2 and woha. ITS GORGEOUS!
I loved your work before you added the blur filter that you keep calling "fog"….
Is it only DS2 that has this ? coz I only remember this from last few years in ds2.
this might be a stupid question, but using 4k is only for people with a 4k screen right ?
i am currently running bearer of the curse mod / Ds2 lighting engine, would this mod be much different, can i inject these presets?
If only it played as good as this looks 😅
Beat DS2 and it’s DLCs.. I really enjoyed it. Might start a NG+1 and use your mod this time. Nexus mods is pretty slow. If the mod is on your google drive then I’ll join your Patreon
A bit too much fog for my tastes (for example, in the gutter, one of the most exciting things is seeing the entire thing light up as you walk around lighting all the sconces and here it just kinda looked hazy like the shaded woods) but, in general, pretty frikkin beautiful
Huh. Great timing. I was just thinking of returning to the game to get the last 4 achievements (just collecting stuff).
I turned DOF to far only, and the sensor size down to 40.
I also disabled "Flip model swapchain".
And it works really well 😀 the grafiks looks awesome.
Is it possible to disable that bg blur?
Is it possible to mod the sensitivity curves from ds1 or ds3 into ds2? I feel like that is a huuuge reason people say the game feels like shit to play. Would be a game changer along with these mods
Is turning down the DoF an easy, universal setting or would I have to do it for each area? Nothing wrong with your interpretation it just feels stronger than DS1's already exceptional levels. Love your work otherwise.
Now we just need a proper animation/sound effects overhaul mod. The more realistic and weighty animations of DS2 are held so far back by how jankily they're incorporated! Realistically punch someone and they cartoonishly slide back while poorly mixed and inappropriate sound effects play. I also love the more stylized animations of DS 1/3 but we don't have to go that route to make DS2's better.
right in time for return to drangelic and than 10 years for scolar of the first sin release
Nice but wayyy to blurry
Is this PC only
this is sick! I discovered your videos recently, and they are fantastic! I was wondering if 4GB of VRAM are gonna be enough for your mod, because I really want to use it when I return to dark souls 2!
overtuned depth of field
Can I use the mod with Blue Acolyte as well?
I just thought about this. Whenever I'm in No Man's Warf, I'm reminded of an Area I played through in Assassin's Creed Revelations called the "Underground city of Cappadocia" I've been playing both recently and it Immediately clicked for me.
is your mod supposed to take 2 hours to install on nexus and is it glitched for me? 7.6gb is alot for 3mb
