As unfortunate as the mistake is, my rule has always been if a follower dies (as usually they can only be killed by you) I will not reload a save, I leave it. It's tragic to lose one but I make it part of my story.

This is odd, Farkas is an essential NPC and cant be killed, under Any circumstances, so you've definitely done something with either mods or console commands to stage this video.
