When you were tlaking sbout struggling as dante in every encounter i thought there would be a problem, but then it ended up geing a skill issue lol 😅
All the shenanigans in mission 18 before fighting nightmare, like destroying the hidden blood clots makes the fight easier; it increases the arena size and even gets rid of at least one of his healing pools.
That being said, it’s still a pain in the ass.

I just beat Dante with the Vergil BP taunt and have you decided which one of you will die first and the 2 air taunts
summon swords, they deal dmg, they stagger bosses, and can be used any time in dt, artemis can literally drop with just a few hits, not joking if u land only a few hits she will still drop at the end of the move instead of throwing out the nuke
a nobody can only summon 1 other nobody, after that as long as the 2 are alive they can't summon more, and they can only summon is their passive state, so when they lose the green passive mask, they can no longer summon more even if there were only 1 of them

nightmare can't heal if u drop all of the purple pods before the fight, well maybe the one in the centee is an exception tho, atleast it's only once
