  1. The Christmas cavs of Three houses are actually Catherine and Alois, they just got their armour bleached on accident and lost their horses in a McDonalds playplace.

  2. Relationship purists colour purists class radicals rise up

Also 3h cavs are clearly hilda and seteth but on dragons as that is the funniest option.

  3. Cool vid, I'd argue that each route in 3 houses has its own christmas duo: catherine and shamir, dorothea and linhardt, sylvain and ingrid, raphael and ignatz

  4. I only realized this after doing your survey but looking at your alignment tesseract, FE10 Lethe (green) and Lyre (red/pink (I lean towards red like a slightly pink tomato)) are siblings, the same class, join at the same time in part 3 and cats have 9 move like paladins. This means they are christmas cats and the green one is better.

So green and red are even again. I'm looking forward to you bullshitting yourself out of this next year.

  5. I'll give some credit to Odin and Nyx being Christmas Dark Mages by the virtue of their personalities being contrasting.

Nyx's character arc is about her being a mature woman stuck in the immature body of a child and being desperate to reclaim her maturity.

Odin's character is about the way him displaying a typically immature trait (his chuunibyou-like speech patterns and active imagination) and others unveiling and learning that there is in fact a person who is capable of being serious and mature behind that

Odin winds up the hotheaded green Dark Mage, and Nyx the coolminded red Dark mage despite lacking the color scheme.

You could argue the only thing they're missing from being in the relationship purist category is a pre-existing relationship, really.

  6. Manuela being canonically an assassin (she’s not a bishop in the Dimitri paralogue but an assassin) is kinda hilarious. The doctor deciding to kill instead of healing.

She got tired of insurance providers needless to say.

  7. At least personally I've always considered the christmas cavs of FETH Sylvain and Ingrid. They have:

    – Red vs. Green colour scheme in their post timeskip designs
    – A shared relationship/army
    – Contrasting personalities
    – Cavalier as a canon class in at least one game

Seems pretty clear cut to me

(Yes I know Ingrid's default class is pegasus knight, but she does have a riding boon in Three Houses AND her standard appearance in FEH puts her as a lance cav rather than a peg knight. Even if it's not her only canon class it is seemingly still a canon class for her. )

  8. When the fandom wikia listed the 2 bosses from Yarne's paralogue as an example of the Samson and Arran archetype, that's when I knew the fandom had taken archetypes too far.

  9. As a representative of the Kaga Saga alliance, in Berwick Saga the red cav, Leon, is better than your green cav, Adele, because Leon has better lance rank, better strength, the deathmatch skill that lets him basically enter into an fe4 arena with an enemy until one of them dies, which in a game where one-rounding is very hard is very helpful, and the robust skill which prevents rng-dependent debuffs. Adele has vantage, which allows him to avoid taking damage on enemy phase because landing his vantage hit cancels out an enemy's attack, but he is very ineffective offensively, and is mainly helpful for his and Leons skill that gives each other a mutual 20% hit rate support. In Vestaria Saga there's a red cav, Troy, but your Abel equivalent is more hazy, it would either be your green armor knight Prody who does have a non-contrasting relationship with Troy, or if you squint at your other cav, Merida, she has teal hair, which is kind of close to green, although she doesn't have much to do with Troy. I don't really consider Vestaria to have a Cain/Abel, but if it did Troy would be the better one because he's the best unit in the game.

  10. 4:14 wait hang on a sec. They’ve kinda got a point. Not that the Gotoh archetype is actually real outside of FE7 and Tellius, but he does just come in and kills everything and doesn’t die

  11. Before watching the xmas cavs are ingrid and sylvain since both have red and green custom paladin models after the timeskip and blue lions students are all classic fire emblem starting squad archetypes

  12. They dont have the same class and they dont match the colour scheme but imo Manuela and Hanneman have the most christmas cav personality/relationship of the cast.

  13. Dorothea and Lindhardt are more like Linde and Merric imo.
Brown haired magic girl with a outgoing personality and a more calm green haired mage. Both of them are mentored by Wendell, like Hanneman is an old magic teacher.
Peri and Silas make more sense than Nyx and Odin.

  14. Haven’t had the chance to fully watch the video yet, but clearly the Christmas cavs in 3H are Sylvain and Lindhardt (Red and Green, Dark Knight and Holy Knight respectively) /s

In reality, my opinion was that there isn’t really an analogue in 3H, but weirdly Sylvain and Lorenz felt the closest. I’ll see if my mind changes by video end 🙂

  15. In defense of Shamir being green schemed, if you reclass her out of sniper she gets a more darker forest green on her clothes
(Let's ignore that Catherine gets Brown/Gray mostly)

  16. The fandom wiki is simply trying to hide the truth that Panette and Timerra with the engage hammer are the latest and greatest Bord and Cord duo.
Think I'm wrong? Then how come they join along with someone blue 😇😇

  17. The Alec fan club just convinced a noish defender to switch sides, I knew we’d eventually convince one to reason

  18. I disagree on a couple of things of the process to determine everyone's cannon class in 3H.

    1. Budding talents never affect someone's cannon class. They are supposed to make certain units more customizable

    2. If a unit appears as an enemy, their class is the cannon class of that unit. This is unreliable if a unit never appears as an enemy above level 30. It also excludes beast transformations.

    3. It doesn't matter whether a master class is an upgrade or a side grade to an advanced class. This discussion should not be about how good each class is.

  19. regarding canonical classes in three houses, it’s worth mentioning that in part 2 the students use their monastery appearances in some classes by default, and also have custom sprites for those classes. for most units, this applies to one intermediate class and one advanced class, but there are some exceptions. specifically, ingrid has customs sprites for pegasus knight and cavalier, but no advanced classes, petra has custom sprites for assassin and wyvern rider, and dorothea has customs sprites for warlock and dancer. iirc, no units have custom sprites for generic master classes.
