i can tell your right now, DS1 and DS2 are far better than the rest in the sense that all stats are useful, and armor isnt just a fashion or dead weight, like in DS3. i havent played ER, so i cant speak upon that one. DS3 was garbage with armor stats and damage reduction stats.
humanity is tied directly to luck. 99 stack of humanity is the best luck modifier. attunement does a few things, but the most important things it does is allowing you to carry more spells, as well as it increasing the amount of times one can cast a spell. and your resistance stat literally just increases resistances or "damage reduction." resistance is relative to ADP in 3, but far greater when it comes to its stat values. it actually matters, but is probably still the least important stat there, depending on your build. if youre having problems with bleed or poison, res is a great stat.
The way he was genuinely confused by the concept of covenants was actually sad to me. Fuck Elden Ring for removing one of the best mechanics in Souls Games.

Demon's Souls was really great for its time, and the PVP was a lot of fun
