At this point I just install the mod that gives all shops 10k gold. It's nonsense that they have thousands in merchandise but only like 1k cash anyway, I think 10k cash should be lore accurate considering how much they have to sell.
I think Windhelm has the most underrated marketplace. 5 vendors, only 1 of whom is behind a loading screen, 2 of them are general goods who will buy and sell anything, an alchemist, a blacksmith, 1 even becomes a fence for stolen goods through the Thieves Guild, a smelter/grindstone/tanning rack/workbench, an alchemy table, and for some reason an enchanting table outside because why not. And you can usually pass the beggar on your way there for charity. So good.
The only problem is you have to travel to Windhelm, yuck
