Unfortunately, right now there's a bug that breaks retail so if you visit a store one of your other sims made the staff doesn't spawn and you can't buy anything. :'(
now we need a tattoo and pericing shop now that the life and death comes with guages
with life and death, one of the things i decided to do with my legacy matriarch who was a mage AND a master jeweler was to make her heirlooms specific to her jewelry skill. Namely, she made every single crystal into some type of jewelry- and I do mean EVERY. SINGLE. CRYSTAL- and then went back and made EVERY. SINGLE. CRYSTAL into a carved crystal piece. The first set went into a jewelry box that came with the pack, and the second set went into the mementos box that came with the Growing Together pack. Both are her ultimate heirlooms to her line, hahaha

I always find it quite difficult to make community lots too! I think for me, it's because most businesses around me are either terraced or really big, so it's difficult to build a small stand-alone building!!
I love using crystal creations in the Not So Berry challenge, with sims crafting jewelry using a gemstone in that generations color to gift to each other.
Maybe it's cause I'm the kind of person the occult add-ons and L&D were made for, but actually makes me think of how one would do a shop that deals with the macabre and supernatural, especially depending on who's running it. Maybe some jewelry for the occults with moonstones (since it benefits them) as well as maybe other matching pieces from sets (like gothic for vampires and the moon one for werewolves) that may otherwise help them like say something that helps with friendship or romance on a vampire that needs to lure it's meals in or a werewolf be a little less intense. Decorative skull ones with various effects, definitely a few for summoning grim cause it's the best way to do so without having to unalive a sim. Maybe coffins for vampires or the humans that want to live that lifestyle now that they can. Might be an idea I eventually have to toy with in a save.
I always use the get to work display cases in museum builds! I like to place them on top of a counter to hide the legs so it's just the lighted glass case on top of the counter. I honestly use get to work all the time but also I love building community lots
in my recent playthrough i was a spellcaster who sold crystals and jewlery and potions in a little like "curio" shop. I also sold extra frogs and other collectables there.

Why dont you make a series building your own town and exchanging every lot in one sim city to be really custom and beautiful and fun game play?
Have the selling part been playtest? I know they sometimes get fussy about getting stuff high up

Could you do more retail builds like this? The jewelry shop is super useful i wonder if there is any other shop ideas like it🤔
What if "normal" jewelry store from the outside but the employee/staff only allowed room would be eccentric/witchy aesthetic focused on jewelry creation with an inside open/glass roof center for the crystal tree surrounded by charging mat.
Why didn't you just use 8 Stanleys to make more crystals faster?
Just FYI the supply closet from Lovestruck is inaccessible the way you built it. The sims need the tile next to the door to be empty because the woohoo animation starts with making out there. So in order to use it on this lot, you need to delete the table with the jewelery clutter on it!

I've been playing with a jewellery store in a generations challenge (with the Targaryens lol) and I cheat by having the spellcaster husband copy every piece made, I store it in a box and then once I need to restock I take it out and he makes a copy again. My store is all dark greens though, love your version!
Wait… Amethyst for infant and babies ? Why would you want them to gain energy faster ? The more they sleep the best it is, that way adult sims can rest and actually do stuff and the baby aren't crying every minute xD

I have done so many things with the retail system! Bakery of course, Art Gallery, a Bookstore, Book Bakery, Florist shop, and so on, lol.
