Jason Voorhees was one of the first iconic horror movie characters to have dedicated video games, starting with Friday the 13th on computers in 1985, followed by a 1986 release on the NES. Over the years, Jason has appeared in numerous games, including Mortal Kombat X and Multiversus. More recently, he starred in his own game, Friday the 13th: The Game, released in 2017 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Watch the video to explore the evolution of this legendary horror icon in gaming!

I’d like to give a huge shout to https://www.youtube.com/@UC1hYTBZ0dFjntk9PQf0ld6g because without his content, this video wouldn’t have been possible as unfortunately, I did not have access to record gameplay for Friday the 13th on NES. Please check his channel out if you’re interested in retro-gaming.

  1. I think Mortal Kombat should invite Hawk Moth from Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir as guest character
