Tom Clancy’s The Division – E3 gameplay reveal [North America]
Welcome to the chaotic and devastated world of Tom Clancy’s The Division. It has been 3 weeks since a deadly pandemic hit New York city on Black Friday…
The Division could’ve been like Destiny by featuring all 5 Boroughs, but as separate maps you’d go to by helicopter (like using the ship to go to planets that are separate maps.) Each Borough could be unique in its enemies, locales, etc. For example, Upper Manhattan could be Ground Zero of the disease so there’d be a lot of Cleaners there torching the place, while Lower Manhattan would be a fortified LMB fortress, and the Rikers could be centered around Queens and The Bronx.
Another thing it could’ve borrowed from Destiny is having a bicycle to more quickly traverse the area, like Sparrows.
Even though it was all pre-rendered stuff this still works as a gorgeous short film. The way the HUD is kept minimal and the menu uses the watch is really clever and it's a shame we didn't get that as part of the release game. The scanning effect for people was much more interesting by giving actual information like head trauma or contagious. And on top of that having the text be displayed closer to walls rather than in open air just feels right. And the texture when the bullets rip through car windows was also pretty good. Not quite peak performance but still pretty good. And also something I'm pretty sure we didn't see in the release. Same with the dynamic environment like blowing the tires out from under cars.

I bought the game last week, I am an PC Player since "Red Alert". This one is a Atmo Masterpiece – was going for "The Division" because everybody said it has a better atmo. The Character Movement and Handling feels so good. Explosring the city is awesome.
I’d easily pay for a DIV 1 remastered (with say the Central Park mod done) and Div 2 gear / mechanics … like full price for a div 2.5 (with what they did with avatar …)
I'll be honest, since the release of the game, I've been going into this game every winter to complete a couple of missions. The amazing atmosphere of this game still fascinates me!
