The Dark Souls franchise is something special. Dark Souls III is teeming with details and I hope I’ve shown you at least a few things that you didn’t know before – even you veterans out there! As usual, the idea is to break the footage down into small chunks that are roughly chronological, so that by the end it’s like a complete playthrough rather than a patchwork of unconnected facts.

All of the music is from the game itself and I got all of the footage from the PS4 version (except where footage credits have been given). As for the discoveries, I’ve tried my best to give credit where I can, and ultimately this video would have been impossible without such a great community behind it. Thank you for watching and for being a part of that community!

“Only 183 this time?”
Many of the discoveries from the DS1 video carry over to DS3, but I’ve not included many of those because I expect viewer overlap. I was also a bit harsher with my quality threshold this time around.

Sadly, I don’t expect I’ll have time to work on another video of this scale for the foreseeable future. One day, however, tiny flames may again dance across the darkness. That said, if you’d like to go further than necessary and send me some money, you can do that here: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/lakeofmud
Don’t feel compelled to; my content will always be free and a kind comment is just as good!

  1. The discovery at 10:38 about the Bloodbite Ring appears to be wrong. Until I can test it properly, please just ignore it!

  2. there is no hungrier gaming community for lore than the soulsborne one, not even elder scrolls compares to the digging we do in these games looking at every single statue, item discription or pixel. From really makes sure theres always something to miss even after 100 playthroughs in their games. Their environmental story telling.. is and always will be god tier

  6. Boreal Valley bosses start the first attempt with them being in front of the fog wall and you at the end of the boss arena (including Sister Friede).
