Why You NEED To Play Skyrim In 2024...

Once more, into the breach. Yes, we’ve played Skyrim a million times, but today I am telling you about the most impressive mod pack I’ve ever experienced in my entire time playing this game. From new combat to even a paraglider, this is the Nolvus experience.

  1. "I thought I was going to get through 2023 without starting a new playthrough" 0:38 but the title says 2024 – did you just misspeak?

  2. Even after hours of playing breath of the wild Skyrim is still my favorite game of all time.

  3. Hello is there really a basement in traitors post i have a mod that want blessed silver sword and it specifically points it at traitors post. Mod name Swordsman Assortment

  4. Nah, 3rd person all the way. Game 1st person is like playing looking out a window, it cuts off to much peripheral vision than how we really see.

  5. I’m 64 years old and I’m playing Skyrim right now for this year. I play on ps3. I’ve been playing through as a vampire. I can’t go to a town without being attacked even at night. I’ve only found one person that I was able to bite his neck but I didn’t cure my vampirism before the blood I feed on wore off. So now I’m clearing out caves and forts.

  6. Nolvus collection is amazing. It requires quite a powerful machine to run it but if you have one and love Skyrim now is the time to give it a try. I love it, every corner of the map feels like a new location with this collection. Such a refreshing experience it gives to the old game. Feels like a new game.

  7. The modding thing, yes its easy but for the larger pack you have to pay nexus mods monthly subscription(which I did pay and I have nothing against it) and there are packs that are like 400+gb and sometimes you end up not liking them or they perform badly… I just want elder scrolls 6

  8. I'm still mad they were kidding about Alexa Skyrim.

Oof, either YouTube butchered your gameplay portion of your video or your PC is struggling. lol

  9. Only played Skyrim for 15 or so hours last year and loved it but got distracted by other things.

Just redownloaded it yesterday with Nolvus.
They've made a less taxing "Redux" version of the mod or various performance settings to choose from.
I only played 15 minutes of the intro but so far it looks great.

  10. I appreciate your video. And you seem like a great person to hang out and have a beer with. But Its rare to find a youtuber who truly gets it. You dont get it. All luv to you but you dont get it. Skyrim is worth playing anytime anywhere. And its not because of F***ing mods. Skyrim is beautiful vanilla. Ive replayed it as different character builds and 😊laying house rules and when i get my share of that, i play it traditionally again. Skyrim is perfect. Even with its flaws and bugs that you can fix in game by restarting. Its a perfect game. Perfect isn’t flawless. Perfection to me is synergy with the player. This game synergises perfectly with me for its atmosphere, environments, lore, immersion and soundtrack. After I play a couple new released story games i go back to Skyrim and play a play through and move on and repeat. Despite my criticism of modern Bethesda, they do deserve credit where credit is due. This game is perfect and i love the anniversary edition where they game me all the creation club dlc. Skyrim is better than ever. I do like to watch streamers play with mods though to see what cool stuff people make and I’m always amazed. But I myself don’t play mods and never will. Skyrim doesn’t need mods to be relevant. Its relevant as is. All luv to you, but you don’t get it. Sorry. And I apologize for my bad grammar, punctuation and spelling.

  11. I just wanted to mention that the frame issue might be VRAM buffer if you just have a 3080, it only has 10gb of vram and if the modpack is full of 4k textures you'll hit that pretty quick. Even moreso if your resolution is 4k. Once you use more VRAM than the GPU has, you hit massive stutters.

Also, ive heard you mention in a bunch of videos you have an i9, and idk what gen it is, but if it's from the same era as your gpu, that is usually quickly outclassed by cpus with a lower core count in later generations for gaming, as games (and especially old games like skyrim built on engines that predate multi threaded cpus l) tend to heavily utilize 1 thread, which will always be better on newer generations. So an i5 from a newer gen is better than an i9 from an older gen for gaming (but not necessarily non gaming workloads). Mod packs like this tend to be pretty CPU heavy as well. Plus if youre capturing on the same PC, thats even more work on the CPU.

Plus, the 3080 is a 4 year old gpu, its not the juggernaut it used to be. It's not a ton better than the consoles (similar to 3070 performance). I think your issues might be a mixture of the two, if not just one outright

  12. Big gamer here. I hated skyrim when I was 15. I was too young to get it. Tried it again on PC when I bought my PC for college and loved it and played 140 hours of the game. Was a vampire lord, fell in love with Serena, had all the houses, built my own house with an armoury. Loved it. Truly best game ever, despite the combat being the worst in any game possible. So I want to play it again on my xbox seres x or PS5 as my PC has broken and today I have taken it finally to bits to sell for spares and repairs. Sad day. But will I be able to play it again after all the fond memories. I know it will feel a grind to go to the grey beards again and get my beloved Serena back. How do I make this game feel as fresh as day one?

  13. I've tried playing Skyrim half a dozen times since it was released and I just can't. It's *so boring*… tedious and boring.

  14. Nolvus is great for finding even more mods to try but changes the game a bit too far for me

  15. dont play this modlist unless you have atleast 32gb of ram and a modern gpu with alot of vram. Try something more performance friendly instead.

  16. skyrim is THE game that got me hooked I just turned 50 and I'm hoping to be around to play the new skyrim!

  17. when i see those long installation guides i just instantly skip. Cant bother installing a game for 3 hours

  18. Looked up this video after starting yet another playthrough of Skyrim this September. It's a game I always have installed on my PC and fire up once every year or so. It's kind of a comfort game for me. Playing it feels like coming home and I'm always entertained by it. There's always something interesting to go see, no matter where you are on the map. I love checking out new mods, doing different challenge runs and playing the game in new ways.

  19. Do ya’ll play it legit or do you mod xp and shid idk i think i might need to just play it legit again

  20. I think the update or maybe it was the Anniversary Edition that added The Umbra Sword quest— I think THAT is/ was sort of one of the coolest additions (though it being two handed, not looking all that fancy or unique; plus no longer that living weapon that speaks and can move to attack enemies on it’s own is a real bummer & disappointing down grade). The fight for me was a insane one the one time I tried so far… Took me, I think over an hour, maybe two— saving at multiple points in the middle of the fight cause I guess armor wise I was lacking, so I was uncomfortably squishy… 😅

  21. I know why i need to play Skyrim in 2024.
Because now i finally got Phenom 2 x4 quad core processor of 3.4 ghz which is a norm today for some small gaming pc rig.
Now i finally got requirements just enough to enjoy this game.

  22. I have the same GPU and you can get this running at 90-120fps. You just need the mod "Skyrim Upscaler FSR3 Build 2" from PureDark that add DLSS upscale & FSR3 frame generation to Skyrim SE.

  23. Seeing a 30 year old man with a goatee and gold chains this hype for a shitty 10 year old game is so depressing it makes me depressed

  24. Ive played skyrim for a total of like 10 hours, really been thinking hard about getting the goty addition and giving it a go

  25. I don’t like the bulkiness of the combat system, and the weight/loot management system being tied so closely together. I tried playing this for a few hours but keep closing it fast, can’t get into it really

  26. You got me excited to play modded skyrim. Its hard to be excited for games nowdays.
Im gonna get a Ally and play modden skyrim when I can, right now im downloaeing skyrim on switch haha
