I’ll never forget seeing the rat king for the first time, just super silent then just an eerie vibe fills the room then you see it slowly make its way to the back of the ambulance and your light shines on it and I’m pretty sure everyone had the same reaction “wtf is that” and next thing you know your running for your life from the thing and then you eventually have to kill it, man as crazy and intense as all that was it was definitely one of the more fun moments in the game

see out of all the stages in last of us ,runners are the most unsettling and stalkers too cause ,you can hear their cries ,which kind of signifies their humanity in the fact that they know what they are doing but are completely helpless,this is more signified in last of us 2 in the seattle hospital where hundreds of people were doomed at the start

I don't think The Rat King should be considered a "Stage". It's creation is more conditional – if not, a One-Off. That's what makes it's appearance so special.
If ND were to add another Rat King in TLOU3, l think that'd be a shame.
