  1. im glad to see my optimism in the devs ever since they kept working on the dlc post launch seems to have not gone unfounded, its nice seeing the more hopeful perspective from big names in the community acknowledging that although things are far from necessarily fixed, its a really good first step in the right direction. being around constant negativity in any circumstance is really exhausting and its awesome that it seems people are starting to come around now 🙂

  2. Excellent thoughts on the situation. This roadmap does not mean they are deserving of blind faith but at the very least should be enough to have people keep an eye on the game again.

  3. I would say the only real thing that holds back the update still is twisted elites, they are the only real change still affecting gameplay and enjoyment for me.

  4. I like current false son , all i would ask for is a finishing touch on his animation and also alternative skill , and if i could choose i would choose a sort of « sword of the bulwark » and « hammer of the king » both being m1s

  5. I had no clue mods to fix the physics changes existed and I'm rlly happy bout it ngp

  6. I trust that at this point they care enough about this game to actually do something to fix what they released, which is good. We can only hope they continue this patern. Trust is earned, this is a step in that direction. We will see

  7. 1:00 race sitting in his big mafia chair after "persuading" the gb devs to take note of his advice(they would be sleeping with the fishes if they didnt)

  8. Here me out, noxious thorns rework: you deal contact damage to enemies

  9. i'm glad that gearbox is willing to cook again instead of going "whoops, we fucked up. let's never touch it again"

  10. are you able to/have you already published the email that you sent gearbox? it sounds like it would be a really fun read.

  11. 6:18 Bro honestly, 100%, I actually really enjoy the False Son fight 🥶 AS LONG AS you have MS and some way to deal with golems, and SOME ranged attack, I swear the fight is actually fun. Playing around his dashes, his laser, and the ambient threat (i.e. golems and meteors), and of course his emp in final form, is actually really enjoyable. Plus the music is best in the game imo.

Yes, I know his animations are janky af and it's nigh unwinnable without mobility (and unlike with Mythrix you only get 3 stages of loot, not 5). But once you learn his patterns and the general flow of the fight (and have MS), it's very doable. And at least you don't NEED a hopoo feather / verticality like you do with Mythrix.

The stage itself is so cool and a great idea too, but I think a bit overtuned with meteor spawn rate and enemy spawns / levels (but maybe that was partially elite bug?). Either way it's wayyyy more engaging than the voidling stage where you just charge beacons and try not to get voided. But that's just imo.

  12. I think the biggest thing that was keeping me down with this DLC was how I felt like a part of the game’s identity was killed. Everything that I enjoyed doing was now given this bad gearbox flavored aftertaste. I’m happy things are being changed and hopefully that never happens again.

  13. Sure, most of the items in SOTS are pretty terrible, but also Hopoo gave us the harpoon, my beloathed, so i guess i can't be too harsh.

  14. It's okay to talk trash about the DLC, because that's exactly how it came out of the oven.

If you're reading this, just remember that the DEVS would've kept it in for longer. The PUBLISHERS and their SHAREHOLDERS are the ones who need fingers pointed at them for forcing it out too soon.

  15. When it comes to the order of what Gearbox plans to change, I think the way they outlined makes sense. It feels like it's somewhat in the order of avoidance. Meaning if you have the dlc enabled with no mods the items are unavoidable so they get priority, the path of the colossus and the False Son boss fight make up most of the content that isn't items, while also being the key focal point of the dlc, and with the survivors you simply can choose not to play them. Or at least that's how I see it, it may not be what most people want the order to be exactly, most people probably want the survivors to be looked at asap, but in the meantime you can just avoid the survivors until they are ready so it makes sense to fix elsewhere first.

  16. I want to believe that if we EVER get a DLC 3 after this that the community is going to be actually involved with testing, even if it's just the Youtubers being given early access or sent out to test. Maybe this is a start.

  17. super cool to see them try and make things right. here's to hoping they live up to the community's optimism

  18. My joy is unmeasurable, thank you Race for making this rational n constructive video, I do hope it does reach people. You put to words what I felt, and even though my DLC experience has been good as I used mods as soon as they came out (plus the physics downpatcher existing alone might make a lot of ppl try the dlc, if they have it already), I understand where the other side is coming from. I've learned to enjoy what is reality when I feel it's genuine, and I really felt it with this DLC+Update.

Honestly this was maybe even inevitable, the new devs needed to try what works and they'll definitely make improvements the second time around. Well, maybe it was avoidable without the layoffs ANYWAY- I trust my gut.
Btw I'm doing my Eclipse run on latest patch, so far so good! Beat E7 on one character to get a feel for perma damage, and on its own it's actually less scary than it sounds, in a vacuum. But as E8 yeah it really makes one focus and play smart, I love it.

  19. Can someone explain me why did he pick up the seer’s lens around 25:13 mark?? I mean I get that without crit he won’t be able to utilise the shatterspleen, but how would that help in moon if you are skipping the pillars?
