Yeah I completely agree this remaster really wasn't needed and it doesn't add anything. Hell I'd say that it actually takes away because I feel like the characters looked more realistic and alive in the original. They look wrinkled and live while the remaster looks airbrushed and fake. Nah I don't want this 😒

Honestly the supposedly "upgraded" remaster looks more like a downgrade to me.
So okay, I see and accept that the remaster looks better than the original, with the exception of some points that the reviewers rightly point out. But I think we can still agree that there are not that many differences and not that big an image upgrade. And the fact that it's called a remaster and not a remake confirms that. I don't think it's unnecessary to do this kind of work for rare top quality games that are such gems. But I have a strong opinion that it would have been much more appropriate to offer this with a free update. For example, the latest graphics update for Shadow of the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is really great, I love it, it's like Unreal 5! It was rumored that the graphics were improved, but I didn't expect it to be to this extent. I'm amazed why some people (like Sony!) didn't give it enough publicity and did it with a free update. Honestly, I think it's the right thing to do, and I think charging a fee should only be an issue when the difference is as big as the Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 remakes.

The Original Horizon Zero Dawn was the most beautiful console game ever made. Given that it was only released in 2017….This is a waste of time, and resources. A simple update for a few things would have been fine. A remaster? Cash grab.
Who is the idiot who demanded a remaster? In fact, the game is still new and has a second part. Is it for commercial purposes? While we see the neglect of many old and outdated games, they really need a remake or remaster

I never played this game so I'm not in the camp if butt hurt people who call it woke and something they didn't ask for, or something called “uglification” by Melanie Mac. What a virus her opinions are.

They said they did 10+ hours of re-recorded mocap but when you put them side by side, I don't see like there's a single difference. Is it just me?

IMHO, when you do such an amazing job like they did with the original game, they don’t have to make a “remaster.” I platinum that game, that’s how much I loved it…but to play it again “remastered”? Nah, I’ll pass.
