The (Grand) Finale | Skyrim Player Tries to 100% "The Elder Scrolls Online" | Reaper's March

The finale of the Aldmeri Dominion has come at last. This video marks the completion of 30% of ALL the major faction content ESO has to offer. It’s been a long journey: over 100 hours of gameplay and another 100 hours of editing… Reaper’s March was a pleasant way to end the series.

I’ve played Skyrim for almost 12 years now, and I’ve never given an “honest” try of The Elder Scrolls Online (even though it’s “technically” the newest Elder Scrolls game). Every time I try to play it, I always end up putting it down just as fast….

I’ve always heard ESO has some great storytelling and Elder Scrolls content. So I’ve decided to play it like a “singleplayer” game this time around; using immersive settings and taking a slower pace. To ensure I abide by these rules, I’m also locking myself in each ESO zone until it’s 100% complete.

Here are the rules:
1. As soon as I step foot into a new zone, I am permanently locked inside until it’s 100% complete.
2. In order to leave a zone, the entire zone-guide must be complete; all achievements and fish are mandatory to collect.
3. Potions, buff food, and other consumables are strictly prohibited; the only exception being consumables that increase fishing luck/chance.
4. I didn’t have the money to buy a new ESO account loaded with all the DLC, so I’m using my Father’s. To compensate for his CP 600 account: champion points will never be used during this series (the only exception being 2 green nodes that boost fishing luck)!
5. All MONEY & GEAR are stripped from my character as I cross the threshold into a new zone. I must barter, earn, grind, or steal to equip my character from the ground up EVERYTIME!

This video is about a Skyrim player trying ESO, The Elder Scrolls Online, for the first time. In this series we’re playing ESO one zone at a time. Determining which ESO zones are the best, and which ESO zone should a new player start in. Trying to play ESO as a challenge or figuring out how to make ESO more enjoyable. Figuring out the best storyline in ESO and finding hidden gems across the game. Skyrim player tries ESO, while trying to 100% complete ESO without using ESO zone guides for 100%. We find the worst zones in ESO to play and discover if ESO is worth trying in 2024.

  1. Aldmeri Dominion is Over!

My next few videos will be as following (in no particular order, whatever I feel like):
    – Mainstory/Coldharbour 100%
    – 1 DLC Zone (voted by members)
    – "First Impressions" + Tierlist video on the AD zones/ESO in general
    – 1 More DLC Zone (If I like the first one a lot. this one is a maybe)

Thank you all again for your support! Over 350,000 views across my dominion playthrough so far; what an unbelievable achievement!

  2. the reason it ends on nothing is because you are "supposed" to do the main quest as you're going through the alliance zones, back then you unlocked one main quest every 5 levels which made you do 2 or 3 quests in each zone. Hope it helps, love the series!

  3. Congratulations on graduation dude ! Love this series!

Man i wish bethesda would set an elder ecrolls game in elsywer with the khajit we need weird and alien back

  4. Personally my favorite alliance zone is the Ebonheart pact because it’s has the cool morrowind aesthetic but also nord and argonian although Stros M’kai (Daggerfall covenant) is the best First zone but the rest of the Daggerfall covenant to me just gets a little too generic medieval fantasy look to it although the Alik’r desert is nice love the vibes.

  5. jesus man that title scarred me, thought u were ending the series, that would be very sad. But i'm glad i was wrong, ur keeping the good work as always

  6. About the only end of quest rewards that are kinda cool are the momentos you get from some dlc public dungeon quests.

  7. I think that before Coldharbour you should complete fighter and mages guild. Guilds story are kinda interlinked with the main story and getting you to coldharbour. And they are not to long to complete

  8. Always super excited to see a post to the series! I think you're gonna love orcinium!

  9. Hey dude, I just want to say that I love your videos. You are so well articulated, your editing is fantastic, and this is my most played game ever so I’m obviously biased lol. I would guess I have probably close to 10,000 hours between Xbox and PC. I don’t play ESO anymore, but seeing your videos gives me so much nostalgia and I really feel like I’m going through the zones again for the first time watching your videos. Please keep it up!

Something I wish you would have done alongside your rules for each zone would be: the mandatory completion of the mage & fighters guild quest for each relevant zone. However! This could be a bonus because maybe now you’ll be able to make a video about going through those entire story lines, and I’d love to join you on your journey with them. (Also if you haven’t picked up their skill lines yet, picking those up sooner rather than later is good because they give really good skills and passives).

    Keep up the great work!

  10. Great video, not be the Umm actually guy but… The Moonpath to elsweyr mod is actually 12 years old lol even the skyrim special edition port is 8 years old not 6 which is why it feels so dated

  11. Aren't you going to do other alliance storylines first? Some DLC storylines and sidequests often include some notable characters from the base game, as well as some DLCs have quests that involve you going to a place in a base game zone (i.e.: Thieves Guild DLC).

  12. Cold harbor is in fact the grand finale. After you finish zone 5 you are sent there to finish the plot. After that you are sent to another faction and then the last one. Originaly , when the game was level dependent, other faction zone where veteran zones with harder mob. Also once you clear cold harbour i highly encourage you to do the mission from the profet. You can find him in the harborage or as a projection near the first town in auridon. Also you may need to speak to the misterious stranger in auridon first town to kick start that story

  13. i didn't even realize i was here 3 hours after upload, i just binged the playlist and assumed you were taking a break for a bit. amazing series and can't wait to watch the rest of the factions (wish i had good ping when i played eso)

  14. I am kinda confused that it didn’t lead your game to Coldharbour, I’m pretty sure it did for me and I started playing after Tamriel Unlimited. My character is a Khajiit and apart of the Aldmeri Dominion so the trigger could still be attached to the faction your character is.

  15. Congrats on Graduation, man! I’ve found myself really excited to watch your videos when I see they’ve posted. I haven’t played all the POI missions and other content in every zone I’ve played, so your videos are definitely motivating me to want to go back and do that before playing too many more zones as I’ve gotten back into ESO.

  16. quick suggestion if I may? IMO when you do Coldharbour campaign – clear all of the side missions before starting the point of no return portion of the main quest (also applies to any future DLC zones). all the people you have encountered during side missions – show up in the finale (some actively participate, others show up afterwards) and you can talk to them, touch base if you will – which I personaly think is pretty cool.

  17. That name you could not pronounce (Rid-Thar-Ri-Datta) Pronounce it like this. Rid, Th + are + ree (think wee but replace the W with an R) Datta ( Say it like Data from Star Trek TNG but use a short a sound.)So said all in one try. Ahem: Rid THare ree data (remember the short a sound for data) It's hard to type dialect. lol

  18. there is a finale reward. You have to complete cadwells gold. All 3 alliance story quests and coldharbour. You get a thing from Cadwell. Good luck big G.

  19. Congrats on graduating man! Glad you mostly enjoyed Reaper's March. With the ending, I too was super confused with that line, I'm not sure why they haven't just altered that. In terms of a grand finale though the alliance zones are supposed to be played alongside the main questline of the base game, so you're meant to go into the intro to coldharbour next which then feels a little more massive, but stand alone it's so strange.

  20. The POI with Raz is actually a decision whether you save him time and destroy the artifact or use it to free him and give him more work to hide it because the only means of destroying the artifact is buried in rubble, he does not die (mainly because he is an icon of the AD, but he will tell you that he just parkoured his way out of the crumbling ruins)
As for the zone, it's not a desert. It actually looks more like a savannah. There is an actual desert on the Daggerfall side of the world map, they have a zone literally called Alk'ir Desert (and it is exactly what a desert is). Besides that, Elsweyr looks more like a desert but as far as I saw, there was no water or oasis' outside of the hub and an aqueduct (I need to explore it again idk if I am just blind, lol). Thank you for an interesting series and have a good night.

  21. Just wait til you get to the Alik'r, now there's a real desert zone. Fantastic video as always, the new ruleset seems to be working out great. I love the notes on the gear sets, I'd never really considered Soulshine's synergy with the Arcanist class. Looking forward to more 👍

  22. Congrats on graduating and on finishing the AD zones! This series has been so fun to watch. I really hope you continue take your time with the game and take breaks so that this can continue to be enjoyable for you!
ESO's base game zones can feel very rushed sometimes and back at release very badly received by most. Which is why people to this day won't go back to this game to give it a chance. Not to say they do not do a lot well. But things like copy and pasted delves, weak world bosses, lackluster rewards, and anti climatic storylines makes this apparent. It feels like they had a lot of ideas of things they wanted to do and ran out of time or budget. I really wish they would go back and redesign and fix up some of these early zones. The easy world bosses for example were designed for players with weaker sets, like the ones you found in this zone. Good luck solo'ing WB in Chapters, they definitely designed those to be played by groups. Or at the very least you need to be very good at the game and have great sets to stand a chance. Regardless, there is a lot of fun to be had in other alliance zones and the best thing about base game imo is the Coldharbor main quest which you seem to be doing next. The characters from the Coldharbor main quest fantastic, they feel more like classic ES characters, and some even make appearances in future Chapters. Anyways, keep up this great series! I cannot wait to hear about your experience with future zones 🙂

  23. Correction on Moonpath to Elsweyr, it's not 6 years old, it's over 12 years old. EDIT: Congrats on graduating!!! Sorry, left this comment less than a minute into the video lol
