Bored the tits of me this game
The assessment of the machines being more human is spot on.
I vividly remember one of the final scenes (spoilers) when the machines were going berserk and committing mass s*icide. That scene was disturbing, haunting, and disgusting.
if you haven't before, checkout Detroit: Become Human. it also touches a similar topic, but I won't give anything away in case you want to go in blindly.
Not "ever made" but "that I ever played". Thanks.
Hey can you do a review on a new game called Indika, it is very profound, especially if you liked movies by Tarkovsky or read works of Dostoyevsky, I played the game and it was really great, the story and everything, in my personal opinion, it touches on lots of subjects in terms of philosophy and theology.
Armored Core 6
This is all cool stuff hidden behind a really terrible game. The gameplay is uninteresting and repetitive and the prose of the writing is terrible, simplistic, and too on-the-nose. A great concept faulted by a typical Yoko Taro bad execution. It's a bit like Babylon 5. Great story arc, horrible writing for the episodes.
Terranigma and Nier: Automata, two games that helped me discover who I am
You can try the profundness of Eve's ass on Stellar Blades attempt to nier LUL
Have You played "A Plague Tale" games?
I think that you are truly brilliant. Can I make a suggestion can you please cover the manga the world is mine. I would absolutely love to hear you talk about it.
I will never get over nier automata…and I only played it once but 100%…
In the face of a meaningless existence, it is the greatest virtue to create our own meaning, when faced with despair, we must hold onto hope, no matter how dark things become, hold onto the flame. Just as the brightest light casts the darkest shadow, so too does the darkest shadow give way to the brightest light.
Nier automata still lives with me till now it was an experience i can never forget its not just a game its something else
Currently halfway through Route B as 9S and have already started questioning the existence of androids, machines, and humans and how it’ll be like to live in harmony together. What will happen to androids once humans populate Earth again? Why do machines have similar thoughts and ideals as humans?
Seeing machines throw themselves off roofs and pleading to be killed made me really sad when I inevitably kill them 😢
No spoilers please. Currently enjoying my playthrough very much and I want to continue through it as blind as possible
I only got the first ending then I played other games. I wish the best parts of the game weren't locked behind multiple playthroughs.
Oh you're the profound mgs2 guy! I remember having gotten your video recommended a long time ago. Funny, cause I JUST finished nier automata for the first time only a week or so ago. AND I played/finished mgs2 for the first time two months ago. It really was an experience. I'm glad people are still talking about this game. Maybe I should give in to my temptations and fall for the DrakenNier rabbit hole by starting drakengard 1…
2:15 maybe but I’ve looked at most of the stories from yoko taro that inevitably relate to nier automata and I got one common message shit hard keep struggling, maybe find good, but do a lot of struggling and when you finally stop struggling struggle some more keep pushing do what needs to be done even if it’s hard, even if it’s not morally right and then struggle some more I’ve never follow the story with more residence to the word STRUGGLE
"Humans would have to create their own values"… We already did when we created the gods and mythologies that underpin our organized religions.
Humans are the engineers of their reality.
Just bought the game, I have stopped at 15:09 , I will come back once I beat the game
Nier changed my life truly a masterpiece
I haven't played it, but from the videos and wiki it seems to me that NieR's gameplay and themes are outstanding. Especially the themes for humanism, introspect, that sort of stuff. Though, it's story and backstory fall apart if you rub two brain cells together or have even the slightest idea of how humans behave.
I knew the game was deep, but god damn you put it into perspective so perfectly. Its definitely the greatest game ive ever played
I tear up everytime I think of the final credits gauntlet.
That must be stellar blade. Most profound for my brother.
As much as I suck at the game, I find Bloodborne to be the most profound game. I love the Nier games for all their glory, and Automata is truly profound, but something about Bloodborne hits on so many levels every time I go back to it.
The main thing I found profound in the Nier series was the shape of reality – the necessity of questioning everything you are told or experience, and more than just once. Question everything deeply, and test things to find the truth.
Just completed to platinum this game
Played a bad tutorial for 45 minutes died right before the boss did then rage quit it.
Ok. I’m a soulslike player. Only soulslikes. Not really much of a gamer but I got talked into a game that was supposed to be “best game ever made so profound “ so I got it and it was basically just anime girl thicc stare at butt. So I’m skeptical but I’ll try Nier but I swear if it’s just another “look at anime girl butt it thicc” I swear to god I don’t know who you are but I will find you and I will make you drink spoiled milk
How can the most profound game in history be such a strong vehicle for fetish porn at the same time?
They ruined the game with the coomer fan service, it’s pathetic.
I've been playing video games since 1985, and this is easily my all time #1. My only complaint is that I can never experience it for the first time again.
Talos principle is more profound by far than neir automata
Wait till this man plays Xenogears. That is the greatest game ever made.
I find it really sad how more people don’t talk about this game, for me who has played thousands of different games it really feels like the best game ever made
If we're talking about the story then it's very philosophical, especially when the very enemies are the ones that make you question your own actions from an existential standpoint.
The game feels like it plays with you, but what I don't understand.. is why does the whole plot twist scenario where you killed 9s has to be so inspiring for a profound story?
Wouldn't have made sense if 2b went AWOL to protect what she felt territorial from her own guilt instead of accelerating this charade? That would ruin the narrative but just knowing it at this point feels very vapid once you already know.
Maybe Yoko Taro's narrative just enjoys sadomasochism?? It feels like it wants to tell you about what being a human being means, but it doesn't feel humanitarian.. just depressing.
