Welcome back to Skyrim, folks! Today we are picking up, quite literally, exactly where we left off in Dragonsreach! I’ve sucessfully killed my first dragon, realized my destiny as Dragonborn, AND I’ve been summoned to High Hrothgar by the Greybeards themselves… exciting stuff, huh folks? TOO BAD I’m playing in Survival Mode and HAVE to level up a bit before making the 7,000 step pilgrimage… so that means I’m joining the Companions, folks! So buckle up and enjoy the drama, and action, as I take on a cave full of Falmer (and maybe some Dwarven Constructs) as I battle my way through Shimmermist Cave!

  1. will be honest, i dont think i have bumped into them that early before. if i did it was a long time ago

  2. Shimmermist Cave is probably the most difficult and challenging dungeon in the entire Whiterun region. Most dungeons in Whiterun are pretty much beginner-friendly but Shimmermist Cave really takes it up a notch compared to the other dungeons in Whiterun lol.

  3. You can determine whether or not a cave has Falmer inside by looking for 2 short wooden poles located just in front of the cave entrance. The poles have what appears to be white-colored Falmer ears attached to both sides of the pole and these ears Most dwarven ruins also have Falmer so anytime you stumble upon a dwarven ruin then chances are there's probably going to be Falmer in there lol. So those are the most sure-fire ways to determine whether or not a dungeon contains Falmer.
