Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII newest microtransactions may very well be the worst i’ve ever seen in the industry. The Fall Firearms Pack gives you access to two weapons skins. The issue is you only receive the first Skin immediately, The second one you have to grind for and go through different tiers. What makes matters worse is you can pay to go through these tiers quickly to give you access to the second skin…the skin you already paid for. Subscribe to ReviewTechUSA for more awesome content.

Indeed. I'm mostly interested in retro gaming anymore. You know when you buy the game you get the game, the whole fucking game and I can sell it if I don't want it anymore.
I'm a busy adult who can only play a couple hour or so… And still can't understand why you'd buy a game only to pay for not playing it or for rushing progression. :/
Says "11 – 16 year olds are interested in skins"
Looks at new K/DA skins for league of legends… "uh oh"
Games here in Canada are $80 without tax, and with games asking for so much money towards micro-transactions, I don't know where we are headed…
What gaming needs is the next videogame crash that's on its way already, between oversaturation of asset flips and moba BS money-milkers on one side, and overpriced, over-marketing-department-budgeted AAA "cinematic" messes that require 50+ hours of your time to tell the story when gamers don't always have that time to spend.
Let the big guys and the asset flippers and the mobile cloning machine break their teeth on that, while the devs who do games because it's something THEY'D want to play and not because the financial execs and marketing team are making them milk a trend pick themselves off the floor and carry on.
Im not trying to cater to publishers, but i was prob gonna spend the hours playing anyway getting the mastery skins
RDRonline micahtransactions coming soon..
I’m sorry did you put IIII instead of IV????
A microtransaction within a microtransaction…
Leaves existence
I remember the days where dlc was announced as the new big thing. And I thought to myself ' Wow, this is a brilliant idea, it means I'll get to have easy access to expansions and the likes, and game companies will be able to keep working on their games post launch to put in cool additional content since they can get paid for it!' And then I realized.. oh yeah.. humans are prone to ruin everything they touch.
Ok seriously. What is wrong with microtransactions when as you say "they are only cosmetic," so not pay to win, and people will want them? Meaning that people will voluntarily buy those things. If you dont want the cosmetic stuff, then dont buy it. I would understand if the microtransactions gave you items that literally break the game as it is OP, or if its some type of content that you are forced to buy in order to progress the game for the full story. Are you also upset when you go to the dealership and they say, hey you want bigger rims? Pay up more, oh no how dare you offer cosmetic crap to me? Are you serious?
1 thing that was missing from this is one of the skins was a part of the pre order and it was removed from there inventory and slapped with a price tag to get it back
Instead of giving you both skins for 10$ each, they give you one at 10 dollars , and the other 15$. Yeah people will say you dont have to pay the extra 5 dollars if you dont want to , but thats how it is in activision'shead and they think its a good bargain. If a rephrase , instead of " buy 2 skins and get the second one at a 50% discount " its the complete opposite " buy 2 skins and get the second one with an added 50% cost!"
Sigh worst is that there is dumb people out there who thinks its a good bargain
Absolutely true. Shareholders are out of hand in this economy.
You mean IV ? We say IV.
I’ll never understand why people pay for something trivial as a skin. I guess the customers are also to blame
When life is hard for human, human develop technology to compensate. When the tech is getting good enough and life get easier, human slaps pricetags on it to make life worse again. Human's Circle of madness…
Rich the worst part is that both skins where owned by players before they took them out of everyones inventories to sell them back to them. One of the skins was a pre order bonus and the other was one given to all players.
Well I know I have fun in the game without buying new skin. If they make new blackout maps I’ll buy the dlc.
I got this game for free with my new laptop, and tbh I'd rather use the basic 5 headshot desert camo than the 20$ neon crap they inject into the game. The skins look AWFUL not to mention the mxn system in place. At least the multiplayer is fun.
Rich they were going to include a campaign but they stopped working on it to get more multiplayer maps mw4 will proabably have a campaign
Activision= biggest scammers of all gaming history
Blackrotransactions 4
Correct me if I'm wrong but in fortnite when you buy a season pass isn't the exact same thing as these tiers for Black Ops
Dude they don't need to raise the prices of games. Just take one look at the bonuses these executives recieve in a year. I'm not talking about salary, just bonuses. Look at those and tell me they're hurting financially
You open a bank account and you pay $3 fee for every cross-bank transaction. Now let's suppose that the bank wants more monetization. They create new tier where you get charged 20 cents for every transaction (including card). They do only one slight change to that $3 per cross-bank transaction tier, every transaction is delayed by two weeks now. You can't use ATM, because that would spit out cash in two weeks time. Your things purchased on ebay would arrive two weeks later, right after the seller gets his money. That in addition to what mechants already pay, but you lost all the convenience that used to be standard practice.
In addition to that, you can see nice colorful bars showing you when your transactions will land with a button that will for a small amount of golden crystals make it paid immediatly. If you don't have any, it will send you to their online store, where you can buy 500, 1000, 2000 (+ 500), 5000 (+ 1000) golden crystals and you can buy as many as you may need (no refunds).
In my eyes microtransactions are a scam, because the only thing you're paying for is CPU time needed to process that transaction. Let's say the transaction processing takes 1000 CPU cycles on a 2.4GHz CPU. Price of google's cheapest appengine tier is $0.05/hr If you pay $5 translated into those couple of nanoseconds, you've overpaid 864,000,000,000 times the price.
Money flipping, bit flipping… I don't care. If you want money for that, you're a scammer.
Meanwhile you can pay for attachments in battlefield five
Yeah they say games are more expensive to make, which seems right, with inflation, etc. Have they have to spend more time on the games. But i'm also quite certain there are way more gamers, than there used to be. I think it is just because the investors/companys are just more greedy
Can you even Roman numeral bro
You purchase content provided by a developer and regret it or hate it, it’s not the developers fault it’s yours.
Sounds like warframe
I clicked on this video to tell you to change the Roman Numerals…. please
Can you say Lawsuit?
Hello Activision stock has drop by 50 percent. We're sick of it.
It's not pay to win at least….
But that last part you said is 100% true.
$60 for the game
$20 for gun camo
Jump threw hoops for 15 hrs/15 tiers to use camo u paid for.
Or, pay additional $15 to use camo asap.
$95!
smh….
With them sneaking in micro transactions after the reviews makes me so livid that it literally makes my chest hurt when I hear about it from making me so angry. I wish death on the scumbags that do these sneaky tactics.
I'm always skeptical of these types of videos when the YouTuber leaves out important information like- you get a free tier with your first win of the day, kinda shoots that whole forcing you to grind argument down the tube.
I sometimes ask why some people still pre-order CoD, and they claim they are a fan of the series. Then I find them complaining about the awful practices the company makes. Idk why they complain. CoD has been a cash grab since blacks ops 1, like have you not learned?…
Haven't played CoD since Black Ops
I usually hate intros but yours is hilarious
This is why Overwatch is good. It’s lootbox System is at least been cosmetic unlike Black Ops 3 or Battlefront 2.
I see how they fck "gaming" up. Something has to happen.
The REAL problem is that there are people stupid enough to fall for this bullshit. Until these idiots stop paying for it and accepting these watered down anti consumerism bullshit service games it will just continue.
And yeah good point about the younger gamers. It's like Joe Camel and Flintstones smoking all over again. How is this not illegal?
This is a great video! You make a very good point about how the gaming industry is conditioning younger gamers to thinking this microtransaction crap is normal.
Vote with your pocket book don't pay to play any more than we have too
The number for 4 is IV and not IIII 😘.
