Well, Quelaag is a fun time, isn’t she? But the second bell has finally been rung, so what’s next on the adventure?

  1. Just a reminder that you can wear your grass shield on you back and still get the stamina bonus while you are two-handing. (Good call on increasing your damage this way.)

  2. Good job beating Quelaag. You're in the home stretch now. Only 22 more bosses to go.

  3. The Great Club (when fully upgraded) is up there with the hardest hitting weapons in the game. Combine that with the fact that it can be buffed with magic / miracles or pine resin and it is one of my favorite weapons. There is a learning curve for how slow the attacks are compared to lighter weapons. It's not recommended against enemies with fast attacks that can always interrupt your slower attacks. It's also heavy so it consumes a big chunk of your equipment load.

  4. Must wear a Witch Ring to speak the Fair Lady language, it is the gift ring in the beginning of the game during the character creation. The only way to get that ring is to trade an item (not easy to get) to the bird nest at Undead Asylum. It is not worth the effort in your current playthrough at this point. But if you replay with different character, Pyromancer especially, then it is significant because of the covenant and the story behind it. You can enter the covenant and give 30 Humanity to the Fair Lady despite not being able to understand what she said anyway, but the reward is not for your current character, it's for a Pyromancer. I don't want to spoil the story, just explaining the mechanic here because like many things in this game, there is no explanation on what is going on. 😅

  5. The way to get out is by using the wheel near the Quelag entrance to go up and further up by climbing the ladders. Usually, the ladders have torches on them, some visually obscure at the wooden walls. It is not easy because there are monsters all the way.

  6. Congrats on beating Quelag and ringing the second bell! Also congrats on acquiring the great club – surely this weapon will not disappoint a true club aficionado like yourself!

  7. Doesn't the great club make Blighttown worth it? There is one other cool weapon to get but you may already have it by now. If not it doesn't matter, you'll have to come back to Blighttown eventually anyway. One reason is the slugs in the poison swamp. The slugs actually drop weapon upgrade materials at a decent rate. So if you want to upgrade multiple weapons, killing slugs is an easy way to do it at this point in the game.

  8. mildred deffo been mvp distraction ps cry is free ^^ the genuine happyness now we out of blighttown
